When I first heard of wintersowing, it was August, but I couldn't wait to try it. I summer-sowed a few things - just to see if I could, in fact, grow from seed. I used a container that once held blueberries. I think I did cardinal vines. They didn't have time to make any flowers before fall/frost/winter, but they made a vine. I was rather impressed. Hence my excesses this winter. I've got more and more sprouts - I just wish I knew what they were!!

Yeah, I really wish I knew which were perennials and which annuals... I'm not all that keen on surprises. My idea of a surprise is whether the pink is a little bit coral or not. I'm very hard to buy presents for - ask my husband!
