"Season Ticket" blooming now - a novelty iris too - with the 4-4-4 factor. It's an IB. I bought it last year and it will probably never bloom for me again, (because IB's, MTB's, and SDB"s usually can't due to our general lack of cold winters)

Very very nice. I love Ann and Leaps & Bounds. What color!

Lebanon, OR

Well we have bloom stalks here and a friend in Albany has Gizmo the Gremlin in bloom. Junos if full bloom, seedlings up and growing very well...

I really like Leaps and Bounds and that I did not get yet this year.

In case you want to see what Gizmo looks like here it is

Margie, that seedling is stunning - as usual.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Chatter is just awesome! Is that picture, pretty true to the colors? It is just breath taking, I love the ones that bloom so freely!

Nashville, TN(Zone 7a)

The sdb's have started here.....

Margie: Love the "season ticket"! I have a similar problem with B's not blooming a 2nd year and I think it is also due to the mild winter. (At least that's what I like to think, and that it's not the lack of green pigment in my thumbs!) Louisiana's are the ones I can count on.

Irislover: Gizmo is a great name for that one. Amazing looking thing!
Neil: I'm feeling......envy. :)

Keep posting them!

Margie-

This will tell you how crazy I am....but have you ever tried freezing water in milk cartons and putting them on or around the sdb's a few winter nights to simulate freezing? Of course, you could only do this if you had a few favorites.

Neil

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Neil - you're not crazy - I used to do that with my lilac bushes every winter!

Nashville, TN(Zone 7a)

Glad I'm not alone..... I've done it in the summertime for some woodland plants I brought back from Pennsylvania to cool them down during the afternoons here.

Central Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Great picture Neil. I love to see pictures of the whole iris in its environment.

Blythe, CA(Zone 10b)

What a good idea about the freezing water. I knew I bought that freezer for something....I can even put block ice in my small pond area around my callas. My neighbors are really going to call me the crazy lady now !

Stanford, CA(Zone 9b)

I didn't know that callas wanted freezing. I can't get rid of them as long as they get enough water.

Kingsport, TN(Zone 6b)

I have a few small ones that have bloomed for the first time today.

Lily, they're adorable. Love the purple one especially! Edited to say; Oops! Tabbed to the wrong thread! Sorry - a squill amongst the iris!!

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

G: The blue squill was part of a mix of white, blue, and lavender that I think came from Brecks a few years ago. Can't recall for sure now. :)

Dee - I'm so glad that you're blooming!

The very tall, iridescent and fragrant 'Candy Apple Classic'.

I had a scare on these photos. All I could see through the lens was blur. I think that i had inadvertently turned the diopter on the lens and it took DH to figure out what I had done.

Thank you Anita, reading helps you know...

Doss yes, I am happy to get some bloom, but now with the few blooming can not take pictures for two reasons, did the same as you and then for three nights now we have dipped down to below freezing about 28 to 30 here...so it is burr cold.

D

Stanford, CA(Zone 9b)

Definitely an iris cordeledawg. Berry Ripple is lovely
