PNW Sale list Got it Yet?

Poland, ME

I was told the list would be in our hands by the end of February but I haven't gotten it yet. Have you? (Seeing as I live on the opposite coast, I am sure I will the last to see it!)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Nope!

:(

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Yeah, I know. Will let you know when it arrives. And about any particularly special goodies inside.

I can always count on you!

Temptresses

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Of course *I am not not buying any more lilies* this year. I will get my satisfaction by enabling others....

Intercessor, too funny with all that music, but that's pretty much how I am feeling waiting for this list. Too bad we couldn't get it to play each time you clicked this thread ;0)

Poland, ME

Enabling others is a passion of mine too! I just have to share the poverty!

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

Hey maybe there will be a lily craze just like the tulip craze in the 1600's. Then we could sell our bulbs and retire ;*)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

In that case, intercessor, we will need to SAVE our lilies with tulip breaking virus, convince people that each and every lily flower is unique in color and pattern, and stand back as folks sell off their horses, barns and businesses to buy these VERY special lilies. Hey, bring on the aphids and out with the insecticidal soap!

Poland, ME

You KNOW you will get the list first, Pard, so we expect you to type it out for all of us to drool over! (descriptions, included) LOL

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

There are scanners. I don't want to get someone booted out of the Society though... ;*)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Oh... it arrived yesterday. Choice of a free bulb of Black Beauty or Eurydice with every order...

Poland, ME

Thanks, Prd! There will be hope that I get mine in less than a week!

Strasburg, VA(Zone 6b)

i was going to try and not ask, BUT what is PNW?

i know i shouldn't have....

Poland, ME

PNW is the Pacific Northwest Lily Society. They have a bulb sale twice a year. You have to join to get their list and order from them...

thanks! my husband considers oregon his home, so this will be just fine by him (i think!))!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Got it!

Poland, ME

Me too!

Fox River Valley Are, WI(Zone 5a)

I sort of did ;*) Shhhhhhh

Lindenhurst, NY

HI everyone. Long time.

Got mine today. How come I have some much trouble getting Norwest bulbs pics on their website? I'm not ordering any of there';s because I can't get to pics.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Maureen, nice to see you around here again.
My favorite source for lily photos is right here. A lot of what Northwest Bulbs is offering is on this lily search engine (it's on the left hand side of your screen). I have found it easy to use.
Just a little enabling.....

Has anybody received the pnwls spring Bulb sale Catalog

Poland, ME

Not yet

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Nope, I haven't gotten it either. Very curious to see what this springs' offerings and prices will be. The Yahoo co-op group is doing a Lily garden co-op right now, and their prices beat some of the PNWLS fall sale prices.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

That would be unfortunate if that sale wasn't as nice as they have given the Yahoo Group. For some reason, I thought the PNWLS sale prices were better than the Yahoo group, but then a again, I didn't roll out my last sale booklet.

Spring really seems so far off this year now, with the amount of snowfall we have seen.

Fenton, MO(Zone 6b)

How do you find the Yahoo co op.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

You will find some info on that co-op here...

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

The one thing that did occur to me is that PNWLS might be marking the prices up slightly for fundraising. So they'd take the wholesale list and mark it up just a little, still way below retail, whereas the yahoo group are paying straight wholesale?
I did not look through the whole co-op list, but one standout was Silk Road being offered for less than $5 through the Yahoo group.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Oh sure, that makes sense....fundraising :) I also note that they don't have as big of an inventory as we usually get. Plus we get Mak's stuff too. Yay!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Yes, I really want to see his choices this spring. I didn't order as many of his last fall. I can't order much this spring, but I'll at least enjoy looking! :)

I've got crocuses blooming-making progress!!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I'm jealous. It could be a long time before I see the ground.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

I can send you a picture of some dirt, if that would help? ;)

If it stops raining I'll get a picture of the crocus, anyway. :)

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Even mud would be better than this.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Last year's PNWLS spring brochure was sent out on Feb. 26. I suppose this year will be about the same time.....

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I remembered it being later too. It's something, that whenever it does show up, it is welcomed ;)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

And then there is the NALS seed list that comes out I think in March sometime. I need more species seeds!

Poland, ME

I always look forward to the "Sneak Peeks" from the Lily Garden. The newest of the new! I doubt there will be many species due to the decline in health of Ed McRae.
