Not old enough to retire and I like working most of the time. I work with some really nice and crazy guys so I have a blast when I get a few moments to hang out with them. But at the same time I like my weekends to get stuff done.

I'm always either social or a hermit. Had cabin fever yesterday so after work I drove over to a friend's and said hello and one of my coworkers had it the other day so he took his Harley out for a spin. So right now I am social because I have been cooped up all winter because of the snow and ice.
Penguins are a bit like that .
They can stand alone for 1 month ,
Then 1,000,000 of them are Socialising .
Trying to solve the problems of the world .

Well ginger, you are missing out on the fun. We had 2 radar indicated tornadoes 12 miles southeast of here less than an hour ago, damage to buildings, so far as I know no injuries, friends haven't called so I am assuming good news. Then over here we saw a double rainbow. Was here for like 15 minutes or so. Got lots of pictures and I will try to post them tomorrow. Some on the digital, which my dad took and what I got on film. Haven't used up roll yet so will have to wait a bit on that. Will finish it up tomorrow. Only have 3 or so to take.

Yeah, I'm glad too. It's a little unusual to get tornados in February. But damage appears to be limited so no complaints. Will check it all out monday when I go back to work.
pepper, did you guys get snow over there? We got about 3-4", but most has already melted off. I heard I-70 is shut down from just east of Denver to the state line because of blizzard conditions caused by all the wind, and worse on the Kansas side. Clocked 58 mph for a high here in the city. I hope this isn't indicative of what we can expect this spring. Would hate to get things going nicely and have a hail storm or worse come along. Glad to hear you and yours are safe and sound.
No snow, just rain and tornadoes. I have heard I-70 is closed also because of whiteouts. Crazy. We had the high winds yesterday but nothing much today. Am hearing on TV that there are tornadoes down in AR, MS, LA and heading into GA and all of those southern states. Once the storm hits GA it is supposed to be isolated because of drier air but we will see. TX had some too earlier. McLean is one town that had one. I know there are DG members down there or nearby. Hope they didn't get any damage either.

My Golden Tropicannas are about one or two weeks off flowering .
The flower spike has started .
I was hoping for a red flower .
But I would settle for the same as yours .

you are correct vadap, i have so many rhizomes this year i dont know what im gonna do with them all, good thing i have a big back yard with plenty of grass i could do without.

I begin to have withdrawels .
Then I have to take some medicine. ( Grog ) red or white will do it .
Not a matter of patience, but a matter of frozen ground. Only so much you can do with houseplants over the winter. That's also why we get so excited about spring/seed planting time. Coming out of hybernation.

Ginger, now you know why we get excited over spring time. Time to get down and dirty. Can't do that in the winter time when the ground in frozen. Not unless you have a machine that can break thru it all. :)

I don`t know what it is .
I can only guess that the hole was chewed
while the leaf was rolled up .
The spacing of the holes are perfectly uniform .
Can any Xpurts please Chime In .
Leaf rollers is what it is. Spray with soapy water and that should take care of it if I remember correctly.
These holes are there before the leaf even unrolls ?
