I voted other, the question should have allowed multiple answers, I log in first thing in the morning and check in throughout the day while I'm at work and should be working :-)

edited to clarify my answer, the boss was coming and I was in a hurry, LOL!

I kept looking for my choice in the multiples and I can't believe it wasn't there.

I. Although I may turn my computer off, I NEVER log off from DG. I check in first thing in the morning, throughout the day and the last thing before bed/shut down.

I am NOT addicted.

I was looking for that choice too, Molly! I am never logged out of DG. My homepage in FireFox is DG. ;o)

Need multiples too, home and work.

our computers stay on 24/7/365 so whenever I don't have anything to do I sit down to rest (?) and log in to DG. I'm up at 6 and have the necessities done or started by 8 - DW, washer - whatever. I start getting my email out of the way and then for dessert I go to DG to see what trouble I can get into. As the mother of 5 grown kids who all have families of their own now, I (and my DH) have all kinds of advice to give to whoever so DG is the perfect place for me. hee hee :>))

Addictive and wonderful - also OTHER - every chance I get - home work, etc.

I have recruited several members, and do so every chance I get.

Feels like a HUGE family - world wide!

At home I'm usually logged in 24-7. I log off to restart my computer or clear cookies & cache. I log in when I first get to work and check every hour or so. My boss doesn't care and has even commented on some of the pictures I pull up (I have a cushy dream job, it's part time and I can even play solitare while at work).

I' with Molly. I never log out of DG and it has its own button on desktop. I've hit that button before even making the coffee. I am so addicted to this website. Thanks Dave!

DG is the Homepage on Camino as well as Safari so it is just a click away. A day without DG is like a tall Mocha without whipped cream.

Dave's Garden is my homepage and I never log out, so every time I go online (too often), I check in.

Looks like I'm not alone here. DG is my homepage, so when the computer turns on, there's Dave! I feel like I'm on here all the time, but there are some interesting, chatty threads that I just can't keep up with! LOL

I check in first thing in the morning to get my day off to a bright, friendly start. Usually check in periodically during the day as time permits. My office is at home so DG is my equivalent of a coffee break!

Okay, I'm addicted. First thing in the morning, last thing at night, and check in on my favorite threads a few times a day. Oh yes, it's my home page too.

Also my home page. I do shut down when sleeping, seems to clear computer of things I don't need to know about.
Usually Maxine beats me to the Upper Midwest stuff. Talk about an early bird. LOL!

Hi my name is carol and I too am a davaholic... I said "from home at random times of the day" but since I am blessed to be able to work from home perhaps it should have been "other".

I log in at odd intervals throughout the day AND night from all sorts of places, work and home, mostly on my laptop; but I don't consider it an addiction, just a way of life. ; )

When I can (1) work in my virtual garden, I mean journal; (2) talk to people from around the world; (3) get ideas, identify plants, animals, and insects, and get answers to questions that span almost any imaginable topic; (3) find a sympathetic ear or someone who'll listen to my stories and laugh at my jokes almost any time of the day or night; (4) listen to the stories, ideas, and projects of others; (5) view awesome photos from across the globe and learn about the plants, animals, and cultures of places I'll likely never visit; (6) find real world photos of prospective plants before I buy; (7) oh, and learn about gardening; or (8) just lurk a bit; when the people here are almost unanimously good natured, good hearted, supportive, and caring, WHERE ELSE WOULD I WANT TO BE?

I'm on vacation from work, will be for another week, talked to my boss today - he said "I thought you were on vacation?", Ok I am but my system has gone to this homepage alot of times since it started last Fri.

I log in from home and at work. At work I stay logged on all day and check it out whenever I need a mental health break :-) At home I log in periodically - maybe a couple of times a day to see what's going on. Dave's has become such a natural part of my life I don't know what I would do without it now. Thanks Dave, for giving us such a wonderful community to "live" in!

It is SO great to see SO many others ADDICTED to DG like I am! I am a new member and I have never found such a fantastic web site that offers so much of everything! I love the plant/seed trades, and I have grown rather crazy about the Texas forum. I have learned SO much about plants and gardening over the past few months but more importantly, I have gained many long-term good friends. Thanks Dave for such a fun site!

I thought the first 2 options were so similar it was hard to chose one over the other but went with the second.

I was always to chicken to search websites or type emails from work computers!

I am mostly at home, morning and night, sometimes at work if I have a chance.

I checked the second one, but few days go by in which I don't start out the day with a cup of coffee and DG. But I check in off and on during the day and evening as well. I am retired. It probably is a good thing that I didn't know about DG when I was working!

I check in at DG after work as soon as I turn on the computer. I also never log off the site. I would check in in the morning before work, but I've made myself late for work a couple of times, so now I wait until I get home.

I logon FIRST thing when I get to work. i keep it "minimized" and check ever so often. Then I check it when I am home and in for the evening. This is bad, real bad. :) I love it though!

I usually check in periodically from work. I voted "only during breaks", which isn't technically true, but not really false either. I have a pretty stressful job and work goes well beyond 40 hours/week FAR more often than I like and I seldom take a lunch break - so I don't feel bad about hopping over to Dave's a couple times a day. I don't use the computer as much at home, but if I do, you bet I'm checking in then too! Thanks Dave!

I check all thru the day. I start in the morning & (depending on my school schedule) I keep checking back in. I just can't stay away! I did "check in" from school, once, but felt guilty, because I was supposed to be doing research for one of my classes! :-D

if I have a computer in front of me (and I almost always do, unless i'm working in the garden), I have a window open to DG. so I could have picked almost anything. I work from home 2 days a week and I'm in the office 3 days. Like SongsofJoy, I generally hit 40 hours long before Friday afternoon rolls around, so I don't feel guilty if I spend a few minutes checking on my favorite forums or answering a D-mail.

one of the best things about Dave's is that it's so active. so many forums out there you could check in once a week and still be bored. there's always something good going on here.

I check at all times of day. Can't seem to go with out being plugged into what is going on

ONLY evenings and weekends. They've cracked down on Internet use a lot since we were bought out. I can sometimes get away with checking news, weather, bus schedules, etc. But shopping and message boards can get you dismissed.

And they're having "closed investigations" now, which means, basically, they spy on you and no one knows (not even your boss) until you've been escorted from the building after they can you.

If I lose my job, I lose my garden.

I am what they call CYBERSLACKER.

I am so addicted spend the afternoon yesterday at the doctors office, you should have seen me, I was having with draws bad, couldn't wait till I got home.

Personally, nothing goes better with a cup of coffee than gardening in the morning. I get the kids on the school bus, feed the baby, and then check the threads. It's my garden sanity over the winter months.
