Grass ID?

Great South Bay, Lon, NY(Zone 7a)

I'm thinking of trading for a division of this grass, which is 7' tall and growing in California. First, however, I need to ID it so I can be sure it's hardy in my zone.

The plant looks a little like variegated Arundo donax, but the bloom looks more like Miscanthus.

Is it Miscanthus sinensis 'variegatus?'
Is it a cultivar of Arundo donax, like 'Peppermint Sticks?'
Is it something else?

Thanks in advance.

Do you think it is this one?

They look somewhat similar, except for the pink-tinged leaf sheaths on yours.

What is it?

I knew you were going to ask. LOL. So I went out and took a pic of the label just for you.

M.s. 'Cosmopolitan!' I think that may be it.

Thanks, Kell.

Most of the Google images show fuller plants. Is yours fuller than the one I posted?

I just bought mine in a gallon can this week to put in a vareigated combo pot in spring. I am gathering what I want now because I can never find what I want in early spring or maybe because it is a great excuse to buy now. LOL

Kell..you should look into trading.

I'm dividing hundreds of ornamental grasses next spring, and am always looking for trades.

I don't think the grass is variegated Arundo. I only say that because I grow the plain green and the variegated and the stalks are more bamboo like. I'm thinking Miscanthus. Get me some too. LOL

I really want that Cosmo!!
