Interesting ground covers

Another one that I like ,and I know it's old hat and common is snow in the summer, I have a mini mound of it that surrounds a rose, and it looks nice until after it's flowered ,than I chop it right back hard, and up it springs again.

looks like Geranium macrorrhizum, sueone. Anther one of those is Geranium catabrigensis also with scented leaves

Yep, rannveig it's the first one, I apologize now for memory !!...LOL...it always lets me down and floundering....

whats the photo of? is that the G catabrigensis?

(Zone 5a)

Yes the photo is G. catabrigensis. They look almost the same - both flowers and leaves :-) I've had this one for years and am really happy with it.
Snow in summer is lovely - I have Cerastium tomentosum var. columnae which has greyish foliage. For some reason it didn't flower this summer - usually it's smothered in blooms - probably got a shock during the cold spells this spring (I know I did! LOL)
