Anyone tried this before? I "heard" fresh seed is best...anyone know germ times? Any insights or experiences with them from seed? Does the seed need stratification (in which case I'll try over-winter)?

Amaryllis from Seed
I just let mine scatter with nature.. They come up every where...I think they should be lightly covered and shallow..

Thanks--what's about the time frame for germination?
Yeah but don't they take a long time from germ till bloom? Like hundreds of years?
yes grasshopper, I heard 3 years...that's my outside limit. lol
And they seem to 'tend themselves in pots in the full sun'...remember, I got alot of 'filler needed' space out back....
Well I am not willing to commit to 3 years because before the end of 3 yrs I expect to be lving somewhere else w/ my new husband, Brad Pitt.
