Clematis this morning!!

I'm lookin for Warsaw Nike, Huvi, and Negritianka. I think it was Shirley that suggested I ask her if she had some that weren't on her site. I emailed her on the 28th and haven't heard back yet.

Walmart!!!!!????? I go to walmare right after I get off work at 4:30 AM and they won't let me in the garden center! Maybe I should make a point to go later in the morning!!LOL

Debbie told me that she's been busy with a plant show for the past several days. In fact, she apologized for not getting back to me right away when, in fact, she responded almost immediately. LOL, she probably needs some downtime. I heard from her again this morning and the clematis will be here tomorrow. Yikes, better get those holes dug!

Baja, be patient. You're just catching her at a very busy time. You might try emailing her again in case your original message got buried somehow.

The best time to hit the "big box stores" is on delivery day or the day after. Find out which day plants are delivered to the Walmart in your area. That way you might find a good bargain.

Jeanne: What are the chances of finding "Huvi" at Walmart??? I better check out my local Walmart, just in case....

I heard from Debbie. My email got lost in the emails!!LOL She has Huvi, but is just testing them. Will not sell, I tried!!!

What it looked like this morning. Sorry, morning light knocks the color off.
I have had one for 15 or so years, these are babies from that one.
There are 3 vines on this fence, 8 years old. They are not yet at full bloom.

Andy..My Clematis "Polish Spirit" is in year 2 and growing like gangbusters...it's been bloomin!!

I am so excited as Clematis "Solina" is setting bud now for round 2 and Clematis "Avante Garde" is as well..Here is Clematis "John Huxtable" HIm only a baby this year but really trying to show off!

Is there a nursery in Willis? I've heard different things, like yes, but it's wholesale only. Where do you get your plants? 'Elsa' is another beauty!

Fly girl..I order most of my Clematis online..I have gotten some from Lowes and Walmart...there is a really nice Nursery on N 75 in Willis..right before you get to 1097...on the left..it's just Past Willis High School...he doesn't carry Clematis..he had a few and they weren't selling..I am trying to get him to start carrying them from a Wholesale place I know in Washington...His nursery is called "Grower's Outlet"...I think he also has one sitting on the opposite side of the road from Walmart on Rayford Sawdust road!!..Here is "Claire de Lune" this morning...I want to try a cutting on this soooooo bad!!..Slow getting established, but one of my favourites

Jeanne: Is this the first season for growing "Elsa Spath"? She's has a lovely flower which I look forward to seeing each year. "Claire de Lune" looks especially nice with her delicately colored blossoms.

I went to a cook out at my best friends home today. Sarah (my dog) and I had a great time.
Look what is growing up the deck railing. A 3 year old baby off my Polish Spirit. All decked out for the holiday.
I was so proud, lol. I saw at least 3 people snapping pics of it.
