hindu rope?

Davenport, IA

My friend gave me this. I had another one 20 years ago, but I gave that to a friend. I don't think it's a hindu rope, but that's what we call it. Does anyone know what it is? I think it's some sort of succulant. It does get tiny pink flowers.

I have the same plant only variegated colors (much smaller than your gorgeous one pictured) and it had a sticker in it "hindu rope." It's a hoya. DG has info on it in Plant Files. Here's link:

I love looking at it and getting lost in its swirls.

I have one hanging in my office and also love to "get lost" in the swirls (it is very calming on a stressful day!). I haven't had it very long so it hasn't bloomed yet. I can't wait - I have read that it has a wonderful scent.

That's a nice, full Hoya you've got there!

I have the variegated one, too.....this one doesn't like to get too dry, I've noticed, as I lost a strand or two when I did just that!
