I bought this at Wal-mart

Palmyra, IL(Zone 5b)

How do I care for it?
Sun/pt. sun
how much water?
I loved the colorful leaves.
Does anyone know what it's called?
Does it flower?
Thanks,Jody

Jody, A beautiful calathea. Just bright
light inside, shade outside during the summer. It may flower but with leaves that gorgeous, I doubt if the flowers
would be significant
Keep the soil moist not wet
Google for calathea and some good info and pics should
come up.

I have three different kinds of calathia, including one like yours. I got mine at Kroger. It sounds funny, but I've gotten some really pretty plants from there.

They do have nice plants. Especially if you can catch them when they first arrive. The have the exotic angel plants at Kroger, and I've always had good luck with that brand.

I have an Angel brand coffee plant I've had for 2 years,I haven't killed it yet.lol

Those Angel exotic plants are great. I always ck the stock at grocery stores, HD and anywhere that I notice carries them. A lot of them can grow to be big specimens. It is a relatively cheap way to buy exotic plants, plant in outdoor shade and let them get huge.
