question about a "boston fern" (i think)

A friend of mine gave me a larger Boston Fern. And I was wondering if there was any way that i could make two outta it...Like could i just seperate it down the middle...
I would water it very well and then just divide it down the middle.

Sure you can devide it and plant each half in a pot. GHood luck!
