Laurief: Do you have some good online sources for SDB's? I'm afraid I am coming down with sdb fever. Is it contagious?

They have a wide color scale. How tall is the average foliage on these?

bluegrass425, I haven't measured the foliage height, and I'm not sure it would be representative in my garden, anyway (few things grow "normally" here in the frigid north). If I had to venture a guess, I'd say 12" foliage height is about average here - maybe less.

Sigh. Looking at your Dwarfs has given me a whole new appreciation for the cultivar. The color combinations are so unusual.

I'm very happy to have CHERRY GARDEN blooming for the first time here. I've been wanting to compare it to one of my unknowns (which looks like it'll open tomorrow). I'm pretty sure it'll be a match.

Joe has always called the unknown the "red cabbage iris", as that's a precise description of its rich color.

Now this is a bizarre little first-timer. SEA MONSTER looks like it'll be an acquired taste. I'll probably appreciate it more if it figures out how to bloom *above* the foliage.

Not a perfectlly formed individual bloom, but poor little KISS ME QUICK is a first year plant and suffered numerous late freezes. I've seen pics of a mature clump of this cv, and it was absolutely stunning!

BILLY BOY makes up for his ordinary color with beautifully shaped flowers.

BLUE LINE is so refreshing with bright blue beards on a clean white flower.

CUTE OR WHAT lives up to his name ... and then some!

Oooooeeeeeee.....I ordered Blue Line for shipment in July!! Can't wait. It's a cutie. Keep 'em coming, Laurie.

Sea Monster is a very interesting little guy! All these lovely ones are tempting me to squeeze in a few more of the little ones.

SPLASH OF RED can't be missed in the garden!

DARK CRYSTAL looks like it should adorn kings with its deep, dark, velvet-textured falls. It's never looked better here.

CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE - the name says it all. Mmmmmm, yummy!

WITH CASTANETS can flamenco through my garden anytime! I LOVE this one!

RUBY WINGS has marvelous color but it's toying with me this year by refusing to fully unfurl its wings for more than an hour at a time.

SERENITY PRAYER is always beautifuly serene in its cream and yellow hues.

RINGER - I love this one *almost* as much as FIRESTORM. Truth be told, I wouldn't want to be without either one of them!

PINK JUBILEE looks better this year than last, but it still hasn't made it into my TOP 10 ... or 20 ... or 30 ...

Laurie, these are all so beautiful!! I love the Blue Line and Splash of Red! I guess because they remind me of the only two I have blooming here.

It IS exciting but also exasperating on a day like today when 10 more irises opened (including my first 3 IBs of the season) but it rained ALL DAY so I couldn't take any pics! AARRGGHH!! Those blooms better not be all melted tomorrow!

It's been raining her since Sat.! Sounds like we may get good weather my Monday!
