Wow, you guys amaze me! Your local area and all of us benefit from your example. Way to go!. Ginny, what sort of tag do you bury with your bulbs? (another great idea...shows me how much I have to learn)
Sue
I just can't stand it already.....
Oh, Sue, just when we think we know it all, someone comes along and teaches a new trick. That's one of the great things about gardening, you never know it all!
I never cease to be amazed that the plants have such a drive to grow and flourish DESPITE my best efforts to be 'helpful' (somewhat misguided at best.) I am so glad there are so many wise gardners who like to share their expertise.
yes you learn so much on here .Sometimes more than you need to know >LOL

We're teaching Moby new tricks? Thought she knew them all. Well, there was this time with the basket swing... Oops! Wrong forum.
Tazzy, are you still on the fan?
Well, some of us learn, some of us lear..... ;)
And some of us leer....
Yes i must have been on fan i still did not catch it till i was trying to figure out what you was talking about . I was in the nit-quill alright. hic . (( DUH )) Brain flicker time.
Tazzy, I can't find the thread I just read with Starr asking where it all began with Bertha. Just make sure you tell her to go at least 2/3 of the way down... http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/446118/#new
Nighty night!
yes i did it on private e-mail i gave her the link and wher to start . love you night .
Went thru my records of lilies planted and found that I had purchased said lily from a grower in Hastings, Minn.
Will correct my tag in the spring.
And people tell me they are bored and have nothing to do! Why don't they look around and do volunteer work. All of our extra garden produce goes to seniors in our cty. [who used to garden, but now can't due to age]. You ought to see their faces, then the stories start.
I am so pleased to be able to share our extra and that includes people who are not seniors.
Love the pictures. Must be people out there who have lilies other than me?
Maxine
Thanks for the kind comments. Am really happy that I landed up in Manitoba where there is a very hot lily society. Of course we do indoor gardening too. Many of us have boxes of scales & seeds stashed away, growing happily in warm basements. I just found a bag of lilies that I dug for our Cdn Roundup in April and Duh - they didn't get into the fridge so have to pot them up - duh. They have started growing. Oh well.
Inanda
yes i still like the things we grew when i was a kid . they are hard to find and a lot wont bloom or do good in my garden and it less than a 100 Miles from where Mom raised them >But the soil there is to die for .

Wanda - that Nove Centro is lovely.
It's a digital closeup and is not true to the color. Should be darker yellow, but can't get it right.

Will try and post another picture. CFS is bad bad today! Great checkup for surgery next week. Nothing to get excited about. Just tucking my bladder up so I don't hemorage every 2 weeks.

Not hemorrhaging is a good thing... LOL! Lovely pics, Maxine. How far are you from Hastings?
Your lilies are quite beautiful Maxine.....adding to my next year's wish list....
Gee, not far as the crows flies, but guessing on the road around 55 to 60 miles.
I go thru Prescott and then cross over to Minn. to Hastings. Closer than going to Red Wing and then to Hastings.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you ladies. What a wonderful group!!
