I just can't stand it already.....

Wow, you guys amaze me! Your local area and all of us benefit from your example. Way to go!. Ginny, what sort of tag do you bury with your bulbs? (another great idea...shows me how much I have to learn)

Oh, Sue, just when we think we know it all, someone comes along and teaches a new trick. That's one of the great things about gardening, you never know it all!

Haydenville, MA(Zone 5a)

I never cease to be amazed that the plants have such a drive to grow and flourish DESPITE my best efforts to be 'helpful' (somewhat misguided at best.) I am so glad there are so many wise gardners who like to share their expertise.

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

yes you learn so much on here .Sometimes more than you need to know >LOL

Tazzy, I can't find the thread I just read with Starr asking where it all began with Bertha. Just make sure you tell her to go at least 2/3 of the way down... http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/446118/#new
Nighty night!

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

yes i did it on private e-mail i gave her the link and wher to start . love you night .

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Went thru my records of lilies planted and found that I had purchased said lily from a grower in Hastings, Minn.
Will correct my tag in the spring.

And people tell me they are bored and have nothing to do! Why don't they look around and do volunteer work. All of our extra garden produce goes to seniors in our cty. [who used to garden, but now can't due to age]. You ought to see their faces, then the stories start.
I am so pleased to be able to share our extra and that includes people who are not seniors.

Love the pictures. Must be people out there who have lilies other than me?

Thanks for the kind comments. Am really happy that I landed up in Manitoba where there is a very hot lily society. Of course we do indoor gardening too. Many of us have boxes of scales & seeds stashed away, growing happily in warm basements. I just found a bag of lilies that I dug for our Cdn Roundup in April and Duh - they didn't get into the fridge so have to pot them up - duh. They have started growing. Oh well.

I didn't have many lilies this season since it is a recent addiction.

How about this clump of Monte Negros?

Despite all the Tiger Lilies I dug & sent to DGers 2003& 2004, I still have some left. They're from the flower beds of my childhood & I still enjoy their simplicity.
