Thanks, Bev! Long winter indeed and it hasn't even started!

Elkhart, IA(Zone 5a)

I know! Scary isn't it? Keep those pictures coming, I hope you took lots of them!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Brenda - that Kileaua Crater sure looks close, doesn't it?

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

If I wasn't so certain that the pollen color REALLY matters I'd let it slide and say "yep that's it", but it's not. I'll keep looking. Ginny asked for the photo to show to some of her friends. I haven't heard back, but it's only been a week or so. Maybe someone will recognize it. It's so pretty - I wish I knew what it was so I could get more.....so impatient for divisions! Might end up buying Kileaua Crater.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

Great pictures, Brenda! Glad to see you had such a nice success in your garden. Looking forward to seeing next spring's results!! :-)

Steve

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

LOL.....I hope I can last that long, Steve!! ;-0

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

Brenda, what color is the pollen, since it looks like they haven't even opened in that picture.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Sue - gosh I hope I'm not showing my ignorance.....I think it's yellow. This is the only other pic I took of this one this year as it was only a single stalk. Do these look fully open to you? Maybe they aren't!! Maybe it is Kileaua Creater??

gosh, every one of those are georgouse

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Gee, they look open. That doesn't even look like pollen - so smooth looking and...yellow!

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Thanks for brightning my goomy cloudy day! We have had a week of this!!!!

If I can figure out how to post pics. will do so of some of my lilies.

Maxine

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Kareoke!

Moby - now Sue has me wondering if they aren't open!

Maxine - this might help you....print a copy of it out and follow it to try posting a pic or two. I'd love to see yours!!!!

Those in the last picture look open to me and yes I would agree it is definately yellow. I like your lily better than Kileaua Crater! I think the inner markings are softer and more blended than the other one.

In this picture of Lady Alice the anthers haven't opened yet, I just thought that since they were still pretty close and upright in the first picture that maybe they hadn't had a chance to turn outward yet. Sorry to get your hopes up and then dash them.

Ahhh....I see what you're saying, Sue. I hadn't even noticed it in the first pic, but as you can see it's a much better photo of it than the 2nd one with it contorted self. Could be the diffused light in the photo that makes it look softer.

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

Brenda,
I'm sure the distance and the lighting can make quite a difference in pictures compared to real life. I guess I'll just have to take a road trip when it is blooming so I can judge the blending live! I'll have to keep my eyes open for a possible match, because I do like this one immensely.

Sue

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

I was too afraid to dig around this one this year to see what type of babies there were, but I'm planning to definitely dig these next fall. Maybe one or two bulbs will find it's way up to IA. :-D

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

any extra, Brenda?

Maxine

(Sue) South Central, IA(Zone 5a)

If that happens it will be well loved! Maybe it'll even 'meet' one of its 'cousins' in the mail room!

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Maxine - as I posted....I didn't even look at these this year as they were a first year bulb. I'll see what I have next Fall and certainly post if I have any for trade. Thanks!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 2b)

Brenda,

Thought maybe your unknown might be Kiss Me Kate - but don't think so. KMK is unspotted. Rats. Still trying to ID but maybe never
Ginny - first few flakes of snow today

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Keep that snow up North awhile longer.

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

I'm going MAD . Mad I said , all better now ?

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Tazzy, you aren't the only one who recd. rain. We recd. 1 1/2" on Friday, but it was very welcome for my lily bulbs to settle in for a long snooze this winter.

Will try and post a picture. Please bear with me. Picture of "Glory Be" oriental.
