Indoor Hot Tub Room - What plants?

Clayton, NY(Zone 4a)

Hi there,

I have an indoor hot tub room - What plants will work?

Two Skylights and a few windows - but not overly bright with light.....

Any great ideas??

Why not try ferns that like shady areas?
I would assume it gets rather "humid" in there?
You can even have trees in pots. Lemon, avacado.

Im thinking also you could have a blast with the more tropical plants! Maybe also somthing with a nice smell, have aromatherapy along with your soak?

Will the chlorine fumes from the hot tub be a problem?

I think palms would do good right off the top of my head
I am sure others on this site would have other good ideals too.

I just did a quick search, and here are a couple links I've found. Hope they help!

Here are some suggestions for low light foliage plants. Some of these would like the humidity.

Here's another recommended listing based on light levels.

From my own experience, I have pothos, and it can acclimate to most any light situation, and since I even have some growing in a vase with water, I'm sure it would love the humidity. My Mom has a fern in her bathroom that gets low to moderate light and is doing great.

I can think of gardenia, and jasmine right now.

i have a garden tub in my bathroom i cant use because of disability so i use it for a giant planter LOL. i put my bigger ferns in there . they dont get a lot of humidity but some from the shower which is not far away. only thing i worry about is not enough air moviement in there.
i have one of those decorator windows that doesne open in there. so what i do is run a small fan in there to circulate the air.
