Can anyone help walk me through taking cuttings and rooting them for wisteria?
Thanks, Lav
need tips on rooting wisteria pretty please
Tks, Ma Vie
Informative, but I did not see anything about rooting cuttings.
Lavanda, are there any vines branching out at ground level from the Wisteria which are already rooted where they touch the soil? That might be a possiblility.
Just read that MOLLYBEE is successful at rooting Wisteria cuttings using rooting hormone:

I have not looked at them that closely, but two individuals have offered me cuttings, so I can check for already rooted plants when I go.
Is right now the ebst time to root them?
Or some other time of the year?
Love, Lavanda
Lavanda, when you go to get the cuttings, see if there are any vines growing along the ground, they often root wherever they touch, and you can just dig up a few plants. As far as rooting cuttings, I'd think now is the best time. Good luck! John
my mom just takes her cuttings and throws them in water.........works every time for her. Go figure.......LOL
