We have started our fertilizer regime with Liquinox 7-7-7 a ratio of 1 tbs. per gal. the only difference is we use a hose to apply it, using one and half cups per 5 gal, with a syphonex applicator similar to applying Miriacle Grow.

Being that I volunteer for a large garden, it takes us 5 days of week to complete the rounds. So we must water all plants in the same manner. The rule is that if it is growing fertilize it. It must be showing leaves, if not, leave it alone until it does. Our plants are strong and very healthy,and flower well when it's their time to do so.

All plants are grown in plastic pots, so they won't dry out faster than the fellow next to it. We don't mix clay pots with plastic. We always water first then fertilize. Norma

Thanks for the tip, Norma. I started watering mine again at the beginning of March, but I haven't fertilized yet. Now I will.
