This is a new acquisition (A. myriostigma), used to be Echinocactus I believe. Does anyone else grow this family? I'd like to find some other species

I agree, it is a cute plant. How big is it? Do you know if it has babies that will come up beside it on on it?

Mine is a baby - about one and a half inches tall and wide.
I'm new to growing them and haven't seen any reference to offshoots. All the propogation notes say by seed.
