sempervivum blooming

Vancouver, BC(Zone 7a)

I know that sempervivum commonly cross polinate. So, does anyone know whether it would be better not to let them flower, -to keep the varieties from crossing?
Let me know your thoughts please,

I doesn't really matter Barbara unless you plan to plant the seed and sell the plants. If so, it would be nice to know what you have done, and put down the other name of what was in flower at that time. They do die after they flower, however they will put out the babies at the same time. Norma
