Morning Glories 2024 # 01

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thank you.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh goodness Linda. that's why I'm putting off having a hip replaced, I don't like the long healing time. Not to mention that my hip doesn't cause me any pain!!!...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I had hip replacement back in 2016. My hip surgery was very easy, compared to my knee replacement.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, I've heard that too. I am putting it off but when I get to the point that I have to have it done, then I won't worry so much. thank you

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Don't put it off too long.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Just sick of Dr's right niw and Dr appt's.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hear ya.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Today I finally realized my Camellia was blooming.. I almost lost it last yr
during the bitter cold below 0 degree nights. Still showing winter damage on the leaves that survived

Jackie, those are beautiful blooms.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda. I don't know how I mistook the ochracea pic for the popcorn bush. Here's the pic I should have sent

Edited to say the popcorn bush is mainly called candle bush

Nope not working right when you click to see the picture close up. And other issues.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena.
The pics are working ok for me. Well at least they are enlarging for me
Are you saying they don't enlarge for you?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful pink blooms Helena. Photos work for me.

Gautier, MS

When I click to enlarge the picture it's not centered right. Still doing it.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oops, forgot to say your pink blooms are gorgeous Helena.
I can't imagine what's causing the pics to not be centered correctly for you.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda. I'm using my computer right now and the pictures look better, so the problem is with my something is not right how my phone is off center. It used to be without this problem.
My pink porcelain bloomed again this morning. But my pictures are in my phone so can't post it.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sometimes my phone does that too. Photos are a lot larger than my screen.

Gautier, MS

Bloom from yesterday.
Use to be able to move the enlarged pic to center it but not anymore.

Beautiful pink color. It centers on my phone.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Lovely bloom Helena. I don't use the phone camera so I'm no help with the centering problem.

Gautier, MS

That's ok Jackie. I really need to start taking pics with my regular camera.
Blooms from this week on this purpureas vine. I lost over half of my vines. Not going to try to grow them inside in winter. I have too many plants to take care of. I did start a few mg seeds though, maybe a few at a time will grow better.

Beautiful blooms Helena. Sorry to hear that you lost some.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Such pretty pink blooms Helena. my favorites. Hope you have better luck with your new seedlings. I can barely take care of all my plants.
My hubby in the hospital this morning so worried about him and I haven;t even finished my taxes. Just one thing after another here, smh

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

My ochracea looks awful. Need to apply a systemic after I get it watered good,
Wisteria blooming, it looks awful too after the bitter cold nights affecting the buds.
Ive messed with the settings on this camera by accident or I've turned off my flash
Thus the dark pic.

Sorry to hear your hubby is in the hospital Jackie. Sending prayers for him.
Your plants are beautiful.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda, Hope we find out something by tomorrow

Gautier, MS

Hope your hubby is doing better Jackie.
Your blooms look pretty.
I have a white wisteria blooming too. I haven't noticed my purple blooming yet.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena.
They let me bring him home today but did not determine why he was bleeding
internally. They took him off his tramadol for pain saying it could be making him bleed
So they really don't know the culprit for sure His Dr will send him for the colonoscopy soon,.
He has lost tons of weight and I;m worried he might not have told me what the Dr's
said for sure, thinking he was saving me from worrying. smh

Gautier, MS

Hope he recovers Jackie. Hope they find out the cause soon. It's always worrisome and sounds serious.
I had a surprise bloom since it didn't have a label.

Keeping your hubby in our prayers. My hubby was the same way. Never wanted to worry me.
I love that surprise bloom Helena.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Gorgeous bloom Helena.
Hoping they will find out something when they do the colonoscopy. His kidney Dr's nurse called this morning and said he needs dialysis in the worst way but he's being stubborn,. My daughter and I have preached till we turned blue in the face, as they say, to no avail.
Thanks for the prayers Linda.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Most men are so stubborn when it comes to seeing the doctor.
Praying he changes his mind.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, he's really scaring us. He thinks he will know when he needs to go for dialysis but that's not always true. Maybe I can get his PCP to talk to him because he's not listening to us,.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sometimes you need to tell the doctor to be very frank with them. I had to tell my hubby's doctors to do that before he would take notice.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

He has an appt coming up fairly soon Linda. I think I will give them a heads up and see if they can help me convince him. He might listen to his Dr.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hope so.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Helena, fabulous surprise bloom! It appears to be a Kanoko X Pink Shroud cross.

Definitely worth saving seeds from. :)
Iris

Gautier, MS

Hope your hubby listens to the Dr. Jackie.
Thanks NewLeafTX and Linda and Jackie.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I pray he will, thanks girls.
