Hi. I know this sounds backwards... but I would like to dig up some morning glories from the ground and pot them to take them home. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Transplanting morning glories from ground to pot
Immediately place potted transplants into a larger container with an inch or so of water. Gradually reduce the water level over several weeks until plants are fully recovered and well rooted in pot with soil. Maintain plants in light shade. Gradually move to more sun and then permanent pot or location when roots fill pot. Keep well watered initially. I've had success doing this with loads of plants but haven't tried morning glories. When they're just a few inches I dig & move them on a rainy day.
