So glad you'll have some blooms soon Helena,.

Can't wait to see your new bloom.

Gautier, MS

Might take a week or two.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I had a pink bloom last week I didn't send pics of. This Blue Star is the only one I want seeds from except my ochracea. I've already gathered a few seeds from ochracea

Thanks Linda. I'm just glad I got to enjoy a few blooms this winter.

Gautier, MS

Gorgeous blooms Jackie. Really pretty and neat blooms.
I got to play in dirt today, planted milkweed plants into the ground my milkweed plants from last year. Trying to do a little by little. Then rest.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Don't over do it Helena.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

You'll be so glad you got your Milkweed plants in the ground Helena, Bigger plants and blooms, I love the milkweeds.
Dh and I both having to rest more these days. Ice storms here, they cancelled
my Dr appt and might have to cancel tomorrows too. due to inclement weather.
I don't want to risk wrecking my car. I can reschedule for next week, warmer temps..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Your wise to reschedule.
No need to drive on those roads if you don't need too

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

The roads should be clear by tomorrow . will be warming up in a couple of days.
So glad, just sick of the cold

Gautier, MS

Hope the weather is better so you can do your errands and appointments Jackie.
We had a bit of rain lately, it goes from warm days to gray and cold. I'm sick of winter too.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Beautiful blooms Jackie. Really glad that you are still getting them. The bud from my expected vine fell off. Conditions are not right for them.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Could have been the temperature extremes you mentioned Helena that caused
the bud drop. Once the temps quit fluctuating so much, your buds will hang on.
Crazy weather here too.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blooms Jackie.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks girls.

Gautier, MS

I got 2 hummingbird feeders up, yesterday a swallowtail enclosed from fall chrysalis. I thought it was too cool and early but do have azeleas blooming and my bottlebrush bushes have started to bloom too.

That's amazing that you have butterflies emerging Helena. Your temps must be some what warmer than ours.
Send pics of your blooming shrubs when you can.
