Morning Glories 2021 #06

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, I made it to page 5 in plant files, ipomoea, and now it's hung up.
Msg says database error, smh

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Still saying database error even when just trying to get back into our posts!!
So I googled davesgarden.com and got back in that way

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I had several errors today as well.

Gautier, MS

What I did was before coming to our thread, I typed AoMurasaki youjiro on the top of page where it says search all forums. It takes you to a page where you look through the forum threads. I looked through Emma's forum and found similar blooms. Its definitely a youjiro. Emma on Ebay is selling one she calls "misty blue blzd youjiro", which I think is similar to yours. I've seen others with the name "mondance" which is similar too. Anyway it's nice to see old threads. I forgot I took out my pics from my old computer so it'll be harder to search.
My blooms from today.

You both have stunning blooms.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
Jackie your blooms are gorgeous. Really love that special plum surprise today!
I think your right, that blom it does look similar to lav silk. It had more of a pink color this morning. I took the pics after nine. Still have some vines that are slow in making buds.

Beautiful blooms this morning Helena. Love the Mauve cross and the Lav Silk/Pink silk. Happy to know you have vines coning along Helena, mine will stop soon.
.
I had a new bloom this morning in the tub out back. No name label but it also
looks like Plum Surprise. Helena, do you recognize it?
# 2 Lovely large purps in the tub, maybe due to the overcast or cooler conditions
# 3 Pink Ehigassa I love this oink, I didn;t have enough pinks to suit me this yr.
# 4 Either Plum surprise or murasaki or both
# 5 so large because I tried to cut out the clutter. Look at the streaks on this Ao cross!, very dark too like yestetdays bloom

Gorgeous blooms Jackie. That first beautiful bloom could be plum surprise cross, a little confusing, is it mixed with purpurea heart shaped leaves? Just not sure, the 4th pic of dark blue resembles plum surprise to me. Love the dark pink with star and your Ao has been awesome!

Thanks Helena.
The 1st pic is deceptive because the nil leaves are hidden down further on the bamboo pole. I had to check this morning when I saw all the purp lvs, it is a nil. Many yrs ago I had a gray nil with purp leaves, I remember Ron was amazed.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I had another of the pretty Plum Surprise? this morning.
Also had a new bloom that I call violet. supposed to be Purple tie dye, no way
Larger than life because I tried to cut out some of the junk. Still it was a huge bloom over 5 and 1/2 inches across Yesterday the bud was tiny, smh
I love this pink its the pink counterpart to Blue Star of India, so Pink star of India

Beautiful blooms ladies.
Sorry I have been Mia. I have been having a lot of stomach pain. Finally gave in and went to urgent care yesterday afternoon. CT scan shows I have acute pancreatitus.
Our small town has no doctors to fix it, so I will be leaving this morning to drive 3 hours to San Antonio. My instructions from urgent care was to go to the emergency room ove there with my test results from here. Don't know if I will need surgery or what.
So I will check in when I can.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Lovely blooms Helena. Your pink star is gorgeous and I love the blooms you're
Lavender siilk is making
Linda, sending prayers your way. Please try not to worry. Let us know what they tell you as soon as you get back. My son used to be bothered with pancreatitis and I fixed that with a home remedy. He was a drinker though, which made it much worse. thank goodness he's quit drinking now.

Gautier, MS

Linda, sending prayers also. Hope all goes well.
Thanks Linda and Jackie.
A few more of the same blooms.
My seedlings outside are ready for bigger pots. If it didn't feel like an oven I'd be out there working.

Beautiful blooms ladies.
I am back home. Lab work showed no infection, but pancreas is very inflamed. Nothing but fluids and bland things like toast for a few weeks.
I need to call the specialist tomorrow and make an appointment for follow-up.

Thanks for the prayers.

Gautier, MS

Hope you continue to improve Linda. Hope for better news for follow ups.
Your blooms are gorgeous Jackie. I'm happy you are still getting quite a few of them.

Linda glad that it was not an infection. Do stay on soft foods, bland is best. You can have puddings and jello, maybe instant potatoes.
Helena, lovely 2 Mauve Splash cross blooms. Your Lav has made all perfect blooms.
Wish I had started Lav Mist and Lav Chiffon seed just didn;t get it done.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thank you both.
I can't have any milk products for 2 weeks.
I can have jello, baked fish or skinless chicken in small portions after 1 week.

Right now, clear liquid like apple or pineapple or Gatorade.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, maybe you could have chicken bullion soup. would taste so good when you;re tired of the sweet taste of pudding and jello. It would still be a clear liquid.
SAme old blooms for me. My no Mai opened in the back yard but was only half a bloom

Thanks Helena Wonderful Congo and Choc Silk blooms this morning .The white blooms are pretty too. Is that the vine that was making lav and white blooms now looking more gray ??
Helena, there just seems to be something about the new blooms opening up.
Lot of the time they're deformed, mine have been too.
# 1 Plum Surprise and Pres Bush I like this pattern for PB better in this
pic than # 5
# 2 Ao crosses
# 3 is supposed to be no Mai, looks more like Pink Tie Dye to me. it's 1st bloom
yesterday was deformed
# 4 is the pretty unknown blue bloom, tub out back
# 5 Pres Bush

I love all your beautiful blooms, repeats or not.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda. My vines do make slight changes in blooms.
Really beautiful blooms Jackie. I really love the first pic with the blue and pink. So is awesome too. The no mail does look like tie dye but I think its blooms vary somewhat too. There are all pretty.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks ladies.
Helena, you're right about the Pink Tie Dye bloom, it may look more like no Mai when
it blooms again.

Gautier, MS

It's at times a surprise with mgs.
I have to find the energy to get my seedlings into bigger pits.
Today's blooms pink eyes hige which is barely there. Same repeat blooms, not in that exact order , a boy monarch eclosed this morning outside enclosure I made for it
Just happened to check on it so I moved it to the plant.

Helena, great shots of your Monarch butterflies.
Pretty lavender, pink, and hige. Gorgeous
Congo blooms all summer.
I barely had blooms today. My leaves look so bad I hate to share the pics.
My dark violet, purple opened another bloom today. It's supposed to be
Purple Tie Dye, I don't have a clue what this might really be.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
We had a good shower today, help to water all the plants.
Beautiful blooms Jackie. Amazing how mg can do their own thing and make a neat bloom. So is a favorite of mine too.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks girls. wish we could have had a shower today Helena. Was 98 or so here.
I hAVE another cat missing, so worried. Gizmo is 8 yrs old and never goes off but lately he's been going over the fence to the neighbors house and they've had coyotes coming up in their yard. Afraid they got my Gizmo. I let him out Monday night and we've not seen him since. We had another cat disappear last October and we know a coyote or something got him.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Just a few blooms today.
Pink Ehigassa
Blue and white
Unknown back yard, maybe Plum Purple Velvet
Blue LYK this one has been blooming forever
Unknown blue in tub out back

We sure need some rain, horse pasture is dying with no rain.
Love your blooms Helena, that large purple is stunning, beautiful Congos.
Bottom left is that a hige or your blue pea vine? Still waiting on my pea vine to make a bloom.
