I currently do rooftop container gardening with native plants and thinking of switching to vegetables. This will be my first time planting a vegetable garden. Can it be done in containers (pots) on a rooftop..The containers will get full sun but will they be deep enough? Any other reason you can think of that this may not work? Any veggies that may grow better in containers than others?
Rooftop Container vegetable garden
I’m growing courgettes in old washing up bowls on my flat shed roof so about 6 inches deep. I chose not to put holes in them so that a good water lasts rather than drains, but this ‘summer’ has seen them drowning a few times!
In terrace gardening, all kinds of plants like Shrubs, flowers, vegetables and also crops can be grown in pots, containers, compost bags and maybe even raised beds. But don't choose plants that grow very tall for terrace gardening. For more information go through this article..
