Daffodils, wildflowers, clematis, amaryllis, succulents, cacti, joe pye weed, agastache, milkweed, baptisia, and several more. My yard is a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Monarch Waystation, and Pollinator Habitat. I plant for the pollinators, the birds, and the critters.

Carnations are a favorite of mine mainly because, they last a long time as a cut flower with fresh well water and a little bit of activated charcoal to help keep the water sweet. Some carnations have a wonderful scent that sadly many growers have removed from their amazing character.

My primrose bed, which is blooming now is my favorite bed and I have 3/4 acres of beds with very little grass. I have blue, yellow, white, red, and pink varieties. They are under a huge oak tree that gets afternoon sun before the tree leafs out.
