Heavenly Blue types

Rochester, NY(Zone 6a)

In catalog and/or seed packet photos I've seen both solid blue and blue with a white throat types sold as HB. Have also heard of Clark's HB. Can anyone tell me which is which Mine have all had the white throat.

Gautier, MS

I'm not an expert so can't really answer your question. I grew it last year but can't remember which one, have heard of those names too. I just enjoy the colors of different varieties.

Providence, RI

Clark's is a sport of Heavenly Blue discovered in 1922. It blooms much earlier, allegedly. I'm growing it this year for the first time since my HBs last year bloomed in October.

Heavenly blue is a tri-color. If your growing one that doesn';t have the yellow throat like all
the other tri-colors, then its not Heavenly blue..
