New Baby in the MAG

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

still alive, in his 60s and a fellow MidAtlanticker from Wilmington DE.
His band once played 50 states in 50 days. Insane!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

What is his DG name?

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

George Thorogood isn't it? Or is that just a stage name?

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

i just meant that he was from DE, not that he is on DG

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Late congratulations to both Sequoia and Catbird! Very exciting news! I can't believe how much better the sonograms are then when I had one.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Yeah we got a 3D ultrasound back in January. That was a pretty cool experience. 30 weeks now, counting down! Thanks Loretta.

Are these stupid ups and downs of weather messing with your garden as well?
Here--it is crazy! From 65* to freezing in the same 24 hours!
This week is supposed to be quite warm--60's and 70*. None of us believe it.
I have not even started my seeds yet--not that I am going to do too many.
Why bother baby-sitting seeds under lights--when I can buy all my favorite
annuals for $2.50 a Market pack right here from a local Nursery.
Having someone else play caretaker of new seedlings is just fine for me.
Some exceptions--of course. Some basils--zinnias--and some favorite annuals
no one really sees here. I have so many seeds for all kinds of odd plants,
--Dwarf, red Satin Coreopsis
--4 Oclocks--"Broken Colors"
--Lady-in-red-Salvia
--Heliopsis Daisy
--Oriental hot peppers--both "Black Pearl" and the Purple one.
--Datura--"Black Currant Swirl" and a Double Yellow.
--Anxious to see if the seeds of the RED Rose Campion (from AK) I seeded
last fall will germinate. ???

I did try WS'ing for the 1st time this spring. Nothing happening yet....
To me--this is all a "game"--an "experiment"...If it works--YEAHHH!
If it does not--No Biggie.

I am falling asleep writing all this. had a long, hard day at work today.
Running around, endlessly, all day. My feet hurt so badly! My knees ache--
and my shoulder muscles have already been "damaged" to the extent that I can no longer go to sleep on my right side.
The shoulder just hurts...something has been "pulled"....result of lifting too many
heavy boxes, above my head to put them on the higher shelves at the HD.
If I may post my life's Motto here. "IF I DON'T MIND---IT DOES NOT MATTER".

Hope SPRING COMES SOON! We are all sick and tired of this,,

I bet your gardens are already green and full of blooms.
Not here!
My back yard 2 days go. Yes! It did melt rather quickly.

Happy Spring to you! Gita

29 weeks now!
Happy Belated Birthday, Gita! As for the shoulder, perhaps a rotator cuff issue. I have the same as well.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

I think we're on 32 weeks now. Darcy was just at the doc and all is well. Doc wants her to be gaining more weight though.

Pequannock, NJ(Zone 6b)

Oh, I was counting backward. That is real close!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Yeah, Jeff!!! Feed Darcy some more fat. Sweets...Cookies...etc.
Babies need to be healthy and chubby. Mama has to sacrifice her own bod a bit.

I am so excited for you both! Do you have a name picked out yet???

I am glad you are still posting here on DG. This is still the 1st place i check.

My daughter, Aina, wants know if anyone would like to have this huge clump
she is about to dig out of her Montauk Daisies. The clump is quite large!
You have space in your garden to plop one of these into a sunny corner...somewhere.
They are beautiful. Bloom quite late in the summer.

I have a zillion cuttings Aina just took for me--so there will always be some available.
These root as easily as--say---Autumn Sedum. Stick in the soil--and...POOF!

Take care of each other! Your life is about to change forever....

Gita
