New Baby in the MAG

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Oh man, I don't want to know about those Ric...Lol

Sally, a matching shirt would be great unless you're talking about the one that says something about 'my little compost pile'....

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

We had our ultrasound(US) and the US tech said he was 95% sure the baby was a girl! Now we have our appointment with the doc on Monday afternoon and she'll tell us all the important stuff as well as confirm the sex. Very exciting stuff! A girl was what I wanted =)

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

How cool. So glad that it is looking like you will get your wish. By the way, my "baby" girl is 44 today. Just what I wanted, too.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Aww, Happy B'day to your 'baby' girl :-)

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

Thanks. Her daughter is home from college on Christmas break, and we made her birthday cake yesterday. They are both keepers for sure.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

That sounds like a fun time! Should be a fun Christmas for you guys.

Vienna, VA(Zone 7a)

I'm happy for you and Darcy! Daughters are wonderful.

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

That is great news Jeff! Is it too soon to have a name in mind?

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

"Rose Sharon"
:^)

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

ROFLOL - oh Sally, you have such the wit :-)

Vienna, VA(Zone 7a)

Good one, Sally! I bet Sequoia will love that...not.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Babies are just so wonderful.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

HAHAHA....Rose Sharon! I wanted to have a botanical name for the baby but Darcy wasn't into that very much. We do have a first and middle name for her but we're keeping that locked up until she's born ;-)

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Hahahahaaaaa, cracking up, Sally.

That is wonderful news, Seq!!! Continued prayers for a healthy pregnancy.

Happy Birthday, to your baby girl, Pat!!!

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Jan!

Washington, DC

Happy news!

Lucketts, VA(Zone 7a)

That is SO cool!

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Amazing!

Odenton, MD(Zone 7b)

Aren't sonograms wonderful? So much detail!
I got to see a sonogram picture this morning, sent by my daughter. Her due date is August 6.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Oh great for you Catbird!! Is this your first grandchild?

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Congrats Catbird.

Vienna, VA(Zone 7a)

Lucky you, Catbird!

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

We went to the doc today to get the report from the US. She couldn't confirm girl but said that it was very likely as there was no male parts. It wasn't quite the smoking gun I was hoping for. But the BIGGER news is that the baby is super healthy and developing perfectly. The baby is in the 63 percentile for size so that's good too.

Jeff--
Patience! Relax! Just let it be and all things will happen as Nature wants it to.
In my day--no one ever knew what sex the bay would be. There were NO U.S.
Waiting to find out what I was carrying for 9 months was a suspense in itself.
It was always a surprise.
Yes! Knowing ahead of time has a practical aspect to it--so you can buy the
right clothing and accessories.
My Dr. kept telling me (in 1965) I would have a boy--as the "heartbeat was so strong".
DAH! I had a daughter--but of good weight. 8Lbs. and 7oz.

I am sure all will be OK. Believe that! Gita

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Sounds like really good news, nice and healthy and it's all looking good.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Haha, yeah I know but it's crazy how used to the technology we become. That's a big girl there, I bet that delivery was fun...Lol

Odenton, MD(Zone 7b)

When my mom was pregnant the second time it wasn't until she woke up from the delivery that she learned she had twins. Now that is a surprise!

Jeff, this will be my second grandchild, my grandson is 6.

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Wow, that's crazy! I can't imagine the surprise on her face..LOL

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

How about that show--"Kate-Mother of eight?
It had to be artificial "insemination" . That seems to result in more multiple births.
Have you seen a picture of her before they all popped? Pretty gross.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

I didn't know that I was having twins until after the first one was born. Big surprise, my twins are 40 now.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Wonderful news, Jeff!

My OB thought twins from the second visit. Confirmed at 20 weeks with an US. Mine are 37 now.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

seems like a lot of natural twins for one small group of gardeners!

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Yeah really Sally!

Haha Holly, that sure must have been a surprise. You thought it'd be over after that first one and then you had to start all over again. Yikes! Oh but what a joy after.

Edited to add: I broke the mold when they made me so I don't have a twin ;-P

Shnykies, that guy can play that guitar! He's an oldie that I don't mind listening too. My favorite of his is 'I drink alone'.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

how much booze and cigs does it take to growl like that?
(sorry for introducing this on your sweet baby girl thread! a bit tacky of me)

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Lol...probably a lot. Is that guy still alive?
