Countrygardens , I seem to think they worry about weather like Artic flash rain and other freakish weather ,,
If you get caught in those it can be terrible ,
Most is not much to worry about for anyone use to cold weather, until 30 below or lower starts happening ,, those are dangerous when (real ) temperatures
Now their saying 31 is the the forecast for today ,, it changes in the morning , updates you know ,, Because they don't know ,,,
Oh, they miss it all!
Friday morning they were worried about black ice in the twin cities.
I drove through there at noon. Average speed was 70MPH, summertime type roads.
Saturday morning, no warnings. Skiff of snow & pile ups all over!

I think the WL hype up windchill a bit more than they should in order to sensationalize things, get more viewers, sell more ad time, etc., but what do I know.
They are calling for a high of 57F which is a bit strange since it is already 56F. I would like to see the high stay below 60F.
Now they are calling for a 70% chance of rain. It was trying to rain (or maybe trying to not rain) around 6:30 this morning.

Rained all day yesterday, flood advisory issued for Hilo and coast line with rain coming down 1 - 2 inches per hour. Eased up this morning. forecast to stay cloudy and showery for today. Low to mid 70s with tradewinds, YES!
You hit the nail on the head Kelli -not just weather channel but main news channels also. They have become entertainment channels and money makers. There is no money in reporting real news and weather. Viewer count and the almighty dollar is what drives them.

That humidity is what caused all the deicer to turn white on my windows and totally blind me last night. I dont drive where I cant see.

Just north of Springfield,Mass this morning abt 3am estime. Nothing but hard crunchy piles of brittle, crackly icy snow.
We got 0.01 inches of rain yesterday. I'm glad our rain gauge measures down to the hundredths. There was a rainbow but I was in the car and don't have a picture.
