Mine are very friendly I go get the eggs daily they are fine with it they also let me handle the babies :) when they have them.
they come up & eat out of my hands, each night I take out about 2 TBS of Kitty can cat food & they follow me back to their pen . in fact i need to go get them in :)

Well, I have 9 chicks and the way they are growing, looks like at least half of them will be roosters! Just got rid of 9 roosters about 3 months ago! UGH!
My brother did not plan my chicken coop well when he built it and put up the fence for the border collies. The coop is inside the dog fence and I can only access it by going through the dog pen. While I'm tending to chickens, the dogs try to get out of the pen. Even though the dogs are trained to stay away from the chickens, I had to put the hens in the coop with the chicks. So, I can only feed them from outside the fence! Hopefully, one day I'll get someone to help me move the gate to the chicken coop so I can access it from the outside. Sigh!
