Hard to burn all those candles sideways! LOL

I was thinking the same thing. All those germs. ICK! I wonder who thought of such a thing.

One of the links above tell the whole story Kell.

Can you imagine my surprise coming around the corner of this River and seeing this 4 Masted Boat ?

Eeew, that's pretty gross! I don't think this would be allowed in Toronto. There is a story - not sure if it's true - that a movie being shot in Toronto required a garbage-strewn alley for a gritty "New York City" back street scene. The film crew spent the morning artistically filling an alley with all kinds of waste items, then took a break for lunch. When they came back, all the garbage was gone. Toronto street cleaners take their job seriously.

Our posts crossed. I wasn't saying "eew" to the boat.

I guessed you were talking about the Chewing Gum.

And each Mast is not small as you can see in this Picture.
There are two on either side.

We had some wild, stormy weather today, so DH turned off the satellite dish modem and I could not access the Internet. The storms have died down now, though.

Those masts have me intrigued. They look like they are on a building, not a boat. Are they supports for something?

Yune, You need to look after that Dish.

Well as turned out.
After getting off The Shark Cat, I wanted to have a closer look.
It turned out to be a quarter made Bridge.
But so much did it get my attention I went back every Sunday till it was completed.
I was totally fascinated by the whole Construction.

More progress.

The Arched Concrete Bridge just behind this Construction is 'Victoria Bridge'.
And the one under the Victoria Bridge centre span is 'Captain Cook Bridge'.

That's brilliant - it looks as if the bridge is pulling itself up by its own bootstraps (as the saying goes). Did they support the centre span construction in the same way?

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Yes they sure did.
As it turned out, it is the most expensive foot bridge ever built in Australia.

This is one of the last days just before the two sides joined.

As you can see in this Picture the Masts just keep going all the way across.
As is typical of all works of Art, People are divided about the look of it.

Maybe I won't try this type of bridge construction at home. It looks a bit too complicated for someone without an Engineering Degree.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

This was the day it finally joined up together.
I was there the whole day before and all this day just to capture these shot.
I feel it was two days well spent.

I love the part corkscrew twist in this City side support.
All the red braces were temporary Mast supports.
They were all removed just before completion.
