Does silicate fertilizer really help Bamboo? For example, have you ever tried it and seen a noticable improvement?
I have a 2-3 year-old Fargesia rufa in a shallow raised bed over clay, and I wish it would grow up faster and put out thicker, stiffer culms.
I want to harvest poles!

If it id highly absorbable, it is supposed to help with heat, cold, and drought tolerance.

I feel that a rich soil helps to provide bamboo with all it's nutrients. There should already be enough silica in most soils to provide the bamboo it's needs.
Thanks!
