Mr. Job
Order from Faraway Flowers
Bummer! NCIS is a repeat. :(
Pirl, the tattoo was after the sunburn, she did the Trek Across Maine for the American Lung Association. You ride a bike 180 miles over a 3 day period (60 miles a day) to raise money.

Love that Bonbini combo!
I remember how successful she was!
We keep cross posting! Thanks!
We did a good job of enabling, Celeste!
^_^ ^_^ ^_^
Well, I had to go and buy more lilies. Drat!!!! Among others just had to have "Playtime".
Great fun!
What is the date of bloom for you on Lady Alice, Celeste?
(It worked, Celeste!)
Are those phlox with Bonbini. And if so, what is their name please.
Thanks, Celeste.
That's one more beauty from Ramona and a gorgeous phlox. Which phlox is it?
Thanks Arlene. Mine is lighter pink. And I love that deep blue one...
It never occurred to me to plant phlox around my lilies. but I surely will this summer.
Love the edges on that one!
Phlox, yarrow and astilbe are all good partners for lilies.
Pirl,
I don't have Lady Alice but I do have the related White Henryi, and for several years first bloom has ben betwen July 14 and July 21.
Donna, I confess that I can't tell them a part. :) The only reason i'm calling it Lady Alice is because thats what I ordered. LOL
I think your right, WH is larger and the petals seem a slight bit wider to me.
Thanks for the dates, Donna. It helps with planning. The others in that area start blooming 7/8, 7/10 and ? If anyone has a bloom date for American Spirit I'd love to know it. Thanks.
I've ordered Lady Alice and Henryi (species) - pictured here. I'll plant them at opposite ends of the field so I can tell them apart though the Henryi appears very gold/orange so it shouldn't be a challenge.
Lovely photo!
This one comes from B & D - Henryi:
I've found the easiest way to remember is that 'Lady Alice needs a shave'. She has whiskers while White Henryi is quite smooth with fine brown specks.
Ahh, thank you!
Lady Alice needs a shave! LOL!
Love it, Moby!
That is funny! Do you guys ever dig and move your bulbs around? I have tried and seem to always cut them up :( Any tips?
Just today I was working with a friend who will be moving and we were digging up lilies with a garden fork. No problems. Just begin the dig further away from the clumps than you think is necessary and go down deep, then lift and remove the lilies.
I moved quite a few in November and didn't stab any of them.
I may have gotten this advice from Pirl. It definitely works.
Ditto ^_^
