Morning Glories 2011 #06

Virginia Beach, VA(Zone 7b)

I was watering my veggies this afternoon at 3:30 and something caught
my eye. A flower on this little rosita MG. It is partly in shade. I love the
color. Cool to see one blooming in the afternoon.

Helena - Love that last photo of yours! What a pretty vine and all those blooms. Loving all the other bloom photos, too! I envy all the vines you have growing outside in sunlight! The blooms are so much bigger than what I get grown indoors under lights. Keep posting those great photos!

Linda - What a BEAUTY!!!! Love it!

Jackie - Your Mauve Splash has similiar colors as the one I am growing! Did you ever get the intense blizzard pattern on any of your blooms?

Here are some from today. I know it's the same old cultivar, but I just love the odd color and all that blizzard patterns!

Pink Porcelain which may turn into a blizzard pattern (I hope!).

This is a new one! It is supposed to be "Keiryu DNM" but it's either a cross or mislabeled.

Linda, I love your Rosita. One of my favorites. Thats one I sent you?

Becky, I don't think I had such an intense blizzard effect but I was so happy with the Mauve Splash, esp since my front yard and back yard vines were making such
different blooms. When and if I get a few minutes, will go back and check out more of those blooms.
I love Pink Porcelain

Jackie - Your Mauve Splash produced those blooms just like mine. But mine progressed in that crazy, busy blizzard pattern. This time around, the one vine started off making the blizzard blooms right away instead of half way through it's life cycle. Maybe the seed came from a blizzard bloom? Quite possible!

I KNEW you'd like Pink Porcelain. :-)

Becky, I didn't pay close enough attention to my Mauve Splash blooms. No wonder, I was too busy oohhing and aahhing. I think some of
them had more blizzard than what I remembered. Like this one

Beautiful blooms Linda, Becky and Jackie!! I grew Rosita last year and loved it too. Hard to compete with blooms from Mauve Splash!

From my garden today! Silver Wolf 2nd bloom, missed one yesterday.

Yes Jackie, it's the one you sent me. It's funny because I just
transplanted it, and it is a very small plant right now. Wasn't
expecting a flower just yet. If it produces seed I will save some.

Linda, I keep sds of Rosita. Yes good idea to gather your sds so you have plenty for trades and your own use. Rosita is a great M. Glory. :-)

Helena, love your blooms, just gorgeous.

A Fuji no Sora open this morning in an 8 oz foam cup.

Helena - I love your Parks seed Blue Tie Dye bloom! WOW! A wonderful cultivar for sure!

Jackie - Oops! Sorry about that! Yes, you had the Sora beauty and Helena has the Silver Wolf that looks like it came true from seeds.

Helena - Love that Pink Porcelain Blz x Pink Star!!! Beautiful!!! And the one you got blooming from Tony does look like my bloom. Possibly the same cultivar. Very nice all of yours! :-)
