Hi, Dawn. Where is Cresson?
Northeast Forum Community Names - 2
Hi Jan, Cresson is a little town between Altoona, PA and Johnstown, PA.... Central, PA if you will LOL!
Check out the mid Atlantic forum also. There will be a plant swap in May near the York area.
Have fun checking everything out and jump in to any thread anytime.
yeah, unfortunately, York is about the same distance from me as Dover is lol. I'll just have to keep my eye out on our local papers or something, I guess. Maybe check out craigslist posts and see if any events like this are posted on there close to home lol.
Welcome Dawn!
Thanks pixie =)

Hi back to everyone - feel like I've been welcomed here all along.
Except I'm a little sore at Patti...
Hi - I'm fairly new to DG and new to this list. I live in central Mass and am a new homeowner with 3/4 acre. Had a veggie garden last year and plan to expand it this year. Also, this year I plan to take on the previous owner's perennial garden and plant a lot of natives. I have some gardening experience but not a whole lot, but I'm adventurous and willing to do a lot of trial and error. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Hello Heather, hope to see you posting!
Hi there. Just joined today. sheameister = Alisa
I'm in Suffolk county, Long Island--northern coast. Two-year old property (to me) with a full acre of dense woods. Luckily for me, there is a substantial amount of well planned out (by previous homeowners or mother nature, I'm not sure) native woodland plantings, but I also have plenty of untouched spaces to play with and one large shaded clearing in my lower back "ancillary" yard that is begging for a flagstone path/patio and a new shade garden. Germinating 5 different plants from seed right now for the first time (!), but also splurged on two new hydrangea (little honey and limelight) to complement the 15+ I already have going. Lost a 75 foot oak at the end of last summer due to unexplained causes, so a bit concerned about how all my "front yard" shade plantings/groundcover will deal given the new light conditions... New to gardening in general, but rapidly getting addicted and hoping to make it a constant habit.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone and learn from your experiences!
welcome Alisa!!!
