I have a carribeian agave and it has 3 babies,2 are getting pretty big and the pot is looking crowded.When and how to I repot and /or divide,without killing it.is it like a yucca and the mother plant dies???Please say it isent so!!!CC

Crestedchik ,I have taken 3 babies from my agave and there are no signs of it dying.It is in the ground.The pic I posted about the yucca on 'lazy daze',we always take babies off of that ,too.So wonder if yours and mine are different.I have one yucca -looking one that is unidentified and will post as soon as I get that pic.

I thought Agave die after they flower. Do I have this mixed up with a different species? Norma
