VERY close but not there yet! lol Still need 6 more
Well, I had one of those, now I need 7 more!
Aaah, Wrangler's Pink Patches is such a beauty! I had a small one once but couldn't keep it alive. Pink has always been one of my favorite colors and I remember when I first joined DG ... I had no idea there were ANY AV's with variegated foliage, much less pink variegated foliage! I was in seventh heaven when I found some pink variegated AV's at Home Depot in 2007 and then got a small Wrangler's Pink Patches in a trade here. There's only one picture of Wrangler's Pink Patches in Plant Files: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/135448/
Gee, seeing all all of these beauties makes me want to set up stands and try my hand at growing AV's again. I've still been thinking of trying a trailer ... maybe after the first of the year. ^_^
Love that yellow!!

I will post how everyone's doing when I get home this evening. There are only 15 calls left,so everybody keep an eye on your cards!!
I had a baby Wrangler's Pink Patches once, but I think I gave it to Gail.
I'm separating the babies from some momma leaves . . . I've got mostly standard sizes . . . gotta get my hands on a mix of mini/semi's. Maybe a few more wasps . . .
I notice there are only 8 AV's left to be called, 5 streps, 1 episcia, and 1 aeschynanthus!
I had a couple of Chirita Aiko's a few years ago ... one was large when I received it in trade and it grew to be a huge plant! I loved the yellow blooms.
Oh my goodness .. I LOVE that Episcia cupreata 'La Soledad Bronze', that is really beautiful! Geesh ... this forum is gonna get me in big trouble! ^_^
That's what we're here for!
HeHe!!
Enabler's you all are with your beautiful photo's ... but, I still have a little willpower, I'll try not to let y'all wear me down. ^_^

Lynn
LOL Lin.....you can run,but you cannot hide ^_^.
Hey Lin, I can send a stolon:) it is tough as far as Episcias go-- mine is still alive!
I bought some Aeschynanthus 'Mona Lisa' cuttings at the state show earlier this month . . . I stuck one in a 3oz solo to root, but my friend Glenda from Austin said that if I laid the other piece down on soil it would root from the leaf junctions (I really gotta start using "official" terms) . . . I took a picture of the cuttings yesterday . . .
Here is another angle . . . it looks like some "thingies" are growing. My point, you ask? My point would be (Lin) hehehe that if they grow quickly, maybe in a month or two if the weather in both are places are decent, I could mail you one of the rooted cuttings. Not an african violet, but still related . . . baby steps and all . . .
Tommie: I might take you up on the Episcia stolon if we can wait until spring? I have three little ones I got from Rob's Violets a few weeks ago and I'm trying to baby them in hopes I can keep them alive. A couple of years ago I had some gorgeous Episcia's, AV's and Chirita's, I need to strive to do a little better with Gessies!
Nichole: I think I have the Mona Lisa lipstick plant. It's been hanging out on my front porch for over two years ... I moved it from the pool deck to the front of the house and should have left it in the screened area out back. Once I moved it, birds made a nest in the basket and the plant almost kicked the bucket. I've had birds nest in hanging baskets many times over the years and have had plants die because I can't bring myself to water when nests are in there. I'd feel so bad if I drowned the eggs/babies! I will have to get my step stool tomorrow and get it down to check it and I will take a picture. I have another lipstick plant hanging in the guest room and I can't remember the name ... it has never bloomed in the two years I've owned it (might help if I fed it once in awhile huh?) The tag is long gone but I think I remember it saying something pink, leading me to believe the flower may be pink (the reason I bought it.)
You bet---spring it is!
