Wow, how times flies, it's already time to start a new page for this thread. : - )
I'm glad everyone seems to be enjoying reading it, and we always welcome your contributions.
This is where we came from, in case you missed anything.

I hope that everyone continues to share their thoughts. Or even those of others, that have touched them in some way. Sometimes we get silly, but we do have FUN! : - )
Thanks to everyone who participates, even if you don't post (and we would like hearing from you!), you are all appreciated.

Thought for the Day - #9
Thanks SW.
Here's my wisdom for the day...
'An optimist is a person who believes that whatever happens, no matter how bad, is for the best...The pessimist is the person to whom it happened.'
I liked this one, and it reminds me of a lot of celebrities.
"It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it.
If you think about that, you'll do things differently."

Thanks weegy,
DH came in and I forgot to post the previous post. I really needed to laugh or at least chuckle.

Here's another one I like a lot. : - )

Just to let you know I've been lurking, too lazy to look up an appropriate quote.
Love youz,

I drink, but figured you'd realize it'd be chocolate milk. LOL!
Really alcohol adversely affects me with the meds I take. I've been known to take a sip of champagne or wine during a toast. But that's it for me these days. : - |
Glad Sylvia is getting over her cold. : o )

An intellectual is someone who can listen to the "William Tell Overture" and not think of the Lone Ranger!
Well, I already knew I was not an intellectual...this proves it!
I'm with you on that one, Weegy....my mother loved those old westerns as my folks were from El Paso. She watched Bonanza religiously as well...I was born there, but grew up in L.A.

Been there, done that, bought the tee shirt.
Now my life is as a retired person, mostly don't have to be there or done that anymore, don't need any more tee shirts.
Has anyone heard from Desert Pirate lately? Miss him.
Sylvia
He's not on DG any more, but I do hear from him occasionally. Sounds like he is doing well. He is active on another site, and has a political blog where he frequently posts.
He just had a birthday about a week ago, so I sent him a message. We had lots of pirates trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, and it made me think of him. :-) I had the pleasure of meeting him a year ago, when he stopped by on his way to visit his mother. He's a true gentleman.
Angie
PS Sent him a message letting him know you asked. I'm sure he'll be pleased!

evelyn,
What have we done! LOL! Some really great ones, by golly I think you've got "IT". : - )
I loved the quote about planting trees knowing full well that you'll never be able to enjoy their shade!
That sounds like something I'd do. : - )
Weegy, I've got the William Tell Overture stuck in my mind now, SLOL!
You are so right about the kids, and you raised a crop of great ones. : - )
Loved the John Wayne, quote kwanjin. : - )
Angie, please tell Randy aka Desert Pirate that we all miss him. : - (
He is a gent. and Lisa was sweet. Please tell him that Buddy Holly (the kitten we adopted from him), is now up to a whopping 13 lbs. He's graduated from bringing me lizards to live birds. (We catch and release them.) I was also wondering how Fred (the one-eyed rooster I gave him), and his harem are?
