LIve in the tropics, having a cement planter built on a 2nd floor terrace, hopefully to hold bamboo...the dimensions, with a right turn, are about 30 feet by 18 inches by 18 inches (approx 10 meters by 50cm x 50cm.
I am looking for a bamboo that will be happy in this containment, hopefully has attractive trunks and a fine, feathery folliage, something that looks good swaying in the wind and perhaps has a nice rustling sound when it does....too much to ask for? Simple yellow bamboo maybe?
The other piece of advice is how to prepare the "bed", the soil for the container.
Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated....oh, direct sunlight at lest 5 hours a day, and pretty open exposure, meaning it can get windy (no salt exposure, tho).
