Squirrel Pics Vol.15

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I have those blasted hickory nuts all over too from the neighbors. Hazardous walking on the one side of the yard in the fall when all the nuts are falling off the trees!

That is sooo cute! I would love to have one of those feeders, but then I would have every darn squirrel in Heritage Lake at my house!! LOL

Melbourne, FL

I had to get one to keep the birds from taking all the peanuts.

I'm always trying to catch the squirrels jumping from the tree to the roof. Barely got this one.

Ha!! Great job!

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

GP those are really good, I finally saw one, running on the power line like yours, today. Couldn't stop for a pictures, there were a few cars behind me . I love your feeder too.
Nanny, still have chippies ruling the yard enh? I can understand why, you don't want anymore squirrels at your feeder. Can they ever eat. They sit in the feeders, here for such a long time. A least this one wasn't in my yard. He was in his natural habitat, eating seeds from a tree.

What a balancing act!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

I've been thinking about one of those peanut feeders. I've seen some in metal too. My Mom's squirrels were too dumb to figure it out!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Cool shot burn!! That is amazing!!

LOL @ Mrs. Ed!! :)

A pic of the two bones I have up for the female squirrel. The old bone on the right shows the deep section she has chewed. The new bone on the left shows where she has just started stripping it. I noticed this morning that she is actually eating some of the bone, I can see her chewing it.

Thanks, they do have some great balancing skills.
GP, I was trying to get shots of the Red squirrel, jumping from the tree to the top of my gazebo too, today. The little rascal was so fast, most of the pictures I got were blurry. He was all over the place today. The gray squirrel is more laid back, and allows me to take pictures of him hanging down.

your being overrun by those chippies Nanny. There must be a lot of nut trees where you are.
Burd, it most cost you much on cages lol. he's not satisfied with only the suet, he want it all. ;)

This one loves to run back and forth on the deck railing.

oh that is cute!!

We do have lots of nut trees around here. Black Walnut, Hickory, Oak ect. Of course all the bird seed doesn't help matters. But I live in an area that is prime critter country so you just deal with it! lol

do you just have those bones wedged in the fence? Maybe I should do that with mine. It's always moving around the yard!

Melbourne, FL

Yes, I stuck them in. Just turned one around yesterday because she had eaten so much of it. It was on the ground a few weeks ago when I noticed her coming down to eat it, but the noise attracted my cats, so I moved it out of their reach for her safety.

Sandusky, OH

Nice shots all!! Gonna buy some dog chewys? lol They just won't leave the suet cage alone!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

With temps dropping down into the 30's the last few niights the squirrel traffic is picking up. I chased a couple off the suet yesterday. This one seemed to be checking that whatever was still there.
