Wow Hack good shot of the Silver=spotted Skipper.
Can you help me out with this caterpillar? I think it's a moth caterpillar.
Hi burn. Yes, it is a moth larva. It will develop into a Geometer Moth. What you have is commonly called an "inchworm', hence the name.

Not sure of this one but he sure was pretty.
I don't recognize this one, but its markings are so distinct, someone should be able ID it. I'm curious as to what it is. I'm still looking around my references for it. As you said, it is pretty.

Hack, your small monarch is a Viceroy. See the more horizontal stripe across the hind wing?
And Burd you've got a Red-spotted Purple. Love those.
My Mom was pet sitting for us this past weekend. When we returned, we found a new addition the family.
Awww its hiding because its shy, but it looks so happy, I can't find that one in my field guide, I,m thinking maybe a possible escapee. lol

Oh...another one of the little duckies!!
Yes, Burd, I'm pretty sure it's a domestic. ;-)
Nanny, it's really not eating as many mosquitoes and bugs as my last duck!
Well...may have to go if it can't pitch in a little bug control! lol
It's probably to beat to eat, after a long walk to the pond. He just need to rest for a bit. So happy he found your place.
Anyone interested in starting a new thread?

Hey, mama, that pretty viceroy is Burd's, not mine. :-)
And thanks for ID'ing that Red-spotted Purple for us.
