Those clouds look really ominous! I had forgotten just how flat that part of Iowa is. We have a line of storms heading for us and we have to go to Lexington right after my 8AM weather obs to get my car where DH left it while his was in the shop during the day yesterday. We have been playing musical chairs with auto repairs and switching vehicles for the past couple of weeks.

We are in a bowl, with bluffs to the west and north. Long ago, we were elephant swamp, but I highly doubt we had any elephants.

Weather spotters here and around Muscatine and Washington were reporting a lot of rotation, but nothing came of it. The big winds split north and south of us. It's beautiful this morning. I have no sticks to pick up or leaves littering the yard.

Hope you get the vehicles all fixed for another year, or the next 3000 miles :o)

Adina something about Campione d'Italia kept ringing a bell but I couldn't place it.
Googling I remembered what.
It was in a book I'd read about the OSS (CIA).
They used it as their Italian base during WWII.
Couldn't believe how clean and obviously upscale it was till I read about the Tax Haven status.
That's the Beverly Hills of Europe. W/O TAXES!
More expensive than Tokyo. and that's saying something.
Mediterranean summers and winters sounds perfect!

Love the Tour Adina especially the Palms!
They are living in a Paradise!
What beautiful Family Shots and Videos also!
Andreea is getting back into shape fast!
Tell her all that hill walking is certainly paying off. ...!
Can't get over all the hair on the little guy!
He almost looks like he's wearing a toupee! lol

Great shots BP!
I'd be looking for the shelter!

Weather got weird here overnight.
The running gag is 'Don't like the Weather, wait 15 minutes!' well.
It was supposed to be mid/upper 90's, dry and humid today.
Well they got the humid right.
That little pop up storm we had come thru last night stayed and built strength.
At around 7AM it T-Stormed and the rains came thru in force.
It's been raining steadily since then. Heavy at times but no wind.
Looks worse to the north so we've postponed our Dayton trip till tomorrow.
Now they are saying high near 90°

So it appears we'll be doing some yard work today after this passes.
We moved out an old fridge, for the Junkers who didn't show, and moved the
Rubbermaid shed out of the Flamingo Garden.
Thanks for the plant comments.
Due to changed lighting conditions what was a total shade area is now Partial to Part sun
so we have more room to try new plants!

Adina, when the video popped on, I almost cried. I wanted to pick him up and cuddle him! You've given most of us something we'll never have, a trip to Switzerland. I love everything about it and it's so beautiful everywhere. I'm wondering what small towns around here could do to be more beautiful besides put up little banner flags. I'm so impressed all your pictures. Thank you, and your family for sharing your lives!

Beautiful daylily, and I adore canterbury bells!

BP. I think you're storm is the one that walloped Chicago.

Just back from Market. Very good day. I have 2 bags of lettuce & 4 bunches of onions left!
Very nice weather & big crowd the whole morning. Radishes were gone by 9AM. I had a lot of them.
Lewisville has it's town celebration today. Parade at 5 PM. So will leave shortly for that.

This little guy was playing his guitar right along with the musicians.

Hi all! It's cloudy again and cold...brrr! I just went to buy some bread for breakfast and have some time until all are ready to eat. Nicholas has been crying a lot yesterday, but after the colic attack was gone he slept for 4 hours in a row! My DD is starting to wonder what she will do when we are gone...breaks my heart to think about it!
Ric, thanks for the information about the town, it's very interesting and they didn't know anything about it, except for the taxes!LOL But they knew the casino is bringing money to the town, that's why they pay no taxes here. I also heard something very interesting about the old casino which they crushed down a month ago...they said they found money hidden inside the walls, but they were old Italian money, so they weren't of any use anymore.
Mau, thank you, those are one of my favorites too! The views are really lovely when snowing, but they don't have so much snow, only on the mountains.
Celia, that one was a success, even if it's blurry. I have the camera always around and I get as many pics as I can, then I choose!LOL
Watch these, I have a rare one, you'll see what I mean!LOL
