help!

Clarksville, IN(Zone 6a)

I received, I think, a cutting of a aeonium holochrysum or something similar to that in a trade, which is so pretty, with the leaves on top and the woodey stem. How do I root? I tried to look and find the answer thru this forum because I know Crasulady2 knows alot, but couldn't find the answer. Please help. DebK

Debbie, I am not familiar with this species of Aeonium, I will do some research to see what I can find. Just save me a piece after it grows. At this time, not knowing what your weather conditions are. Set it aside in the shade, the bottom on the cutting just touching the soil, not in it. Wait for roots, then put it out and wait for the rain. It will do fine. On the other hand, during your hot months, put it into the shade until it cools off. New leaves should start growing very soon now, and when they do make sure you fertilize it to establish good roots, or use some bone meal added to the soil it will not burn the new roots. Norma
