I live in Texas Zone 8A. My grass is turning into powder. When you rub it between your fingers it looks like charcoal ash. Does anyone know what could be going wrong with it?

Is this your lawn or what type of grass? Has fertilizer or some chemical been applied?
I found out that I have St Augustine grass and it is a fungus from the grass being to wet. Thanks though Tina
You're welcome! Best to water deep, but not often to encourage deep roots. You can't help it if it's from nature.
