May Blooms

Near Lake Erie, NW, PA(Zone 5a)

We have so much to share each month, that I thought devoting a thread to each month would be good. Also if we want to look back on that bloomed when. Sort of a journal within the thread. Have fun, and share.

Beautiful Ladyg, I don't have any Daphne, I would like to get some once I figure out where to plant them. That Euphorbia is really pretty, too. I have so many plants flowering right now. How about a big shot of the Azeleas and the wisteria in the background. There are Hellebore, pansies, sweet woodrift, violets, columbine also flowering in this bed right now and a heuchera that is just about to open.

I got my Daphne from Bluestone, it was just a little thing but it got bigger every year and I protected it with a mesh fence from the rabbits till it got a nice size. Need some patients but the reward pays off.

Love the columbine and iris picture and the Tiarella. Nice pictures.

Nice Gita, I got my first Clematis bloom yesterday.

OOH, I got a clemmie blooming too. I got it several years ago and it looked pretty pathetic. It was a leftover from a Women's Fair, so the library was selling them. Don't know what it is, but the bloom is a deep purple about 3" across. I think I needs to get me some more.

Hey, All!

Look out!!!! Here come the winter temps again!!!!!

SUNDAY and MONDAY nights (here...) are predicted in the mid 30's with possible frost warnings.
Enough is enough---already! Most of us have ALL our annuals planted, many tropicals outside, seedlings
everywhere! Trays of cuttings outside...(me anyway!)...Bummer!

What a weird weather system we have had this year!

(Posted this on "Spring projects" thread.....I think this is more appropriate!)
