Lily Co-op adventure continues

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Looking gooooood Phyllis... now come plant the rest of mine..LOL... between the cottage prayer meeting i hosted here tonight, and getting ready for the RU in LA, I am a whooped puppy, and most all my bulbs are still in the frig

yeah Sandra... I am thinking that is what the frig temp is, and they do well in there, for now, but i am anxious to be lil green "bullets" coming up from the ground, so hopefully Monday i can get back to it!

Chippewa Lake, OH(Zone 5b)

The mulch really helps that bed to stand out! looking good..... wellllllllll you don't have as many as I do to get in the ground...hint... hint...lol

clpgirl.... yeah we need help on getting those bulbs in the ground don't we???..LOL

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Becky you can always let me have some and lighten your work load....hint... hint...lol ;o)

I really wish I had more. Mine are about 3 inches out of the dirt and I am getting excited. :o)

(Becky) Colmesneil, TX(Zone 8b)

Sandi... you are a mess... you know that??? You are asking me to cut my arm off and send to you...LOL... THAT is what addiction is.... and selfish too, wanting to see your babies bloom the first time with your own eyes first..LOL

I will share with you... I hope you know that, but I have to see my babies come up first... BUT... BUT... YOU could come up here and help me plant them... then we'll say Aunt Sandi helped birth you...... hehehehe

Chippewa Lake, OH(Zone 5b)

A year ago I wasn't an addict.............it's all YOUR fault!!

(anyone who wants to feel guilty tonight will do LOL)

This co-op was so great it reminds me of the old saying "The first one's free..................."

Now Becky hmmmm sending that cut off arm sounds pretty good seeing I have a small tear in my rotator cuff of course it had to be my right arm with fluid in the joint. It is so painful and as that is not enough I started physical therapy Thursday. I am a glutton for punishment. :o( But boy now I can get some work done having your arm.....hehehehe

And you know Becky if I lived closer I sure would help you or anyone else plant them. I wish I lived closer to at least 1 DGer or even a gardener. I would love it.
Have you used all those gallon pots yet??

My arm really has put a big damper on my gardening but I just keep saying "This too shall pass" Ihe hard part is believing it. Just trying to keep everything alive till I can do better...And yes Becky I know you will share...Just tell those babies Aunt Sandy would have helped if she
could :o)

Does any one remember when they were shipping to us who requested May shipping?
Would love to get them and get them in the ground.
Weather very unsettled here.

I had contacted the seller. They graciously sent my lily bulbs early.

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

This is the bed I did a makeover. I planted half of my order here. About 70 bulbs, and you can see the green bullets starting to shoot out of the ground. This is a mixed bed of roses, echinaceas, and lilies (planted in between in groups of 3). The back part where you see the stakes are dahlias.

Wow, you guys have done a lot of work with your beds! I just potted up a bunch and put the rest whever I already had a bed. I had a bed that really needed a lot, so it worked out good for me. Some from last year are way tall with lots of buds on them already. I hope I don't miss all the blooms while I am on vacation. I know I will not miss the ones I just planted. Anyway, Andy will have a bunch of liies for and end of season sale/co-op. So, I will post an interest thread on that when I get back from vacation. We have worked out a lot of the gliches to make it really easy too! I'll fill everyone in when I get back. Good luck and happy gardening!

Now I know why it's called 'Eyeliner'. The edges are outlined like an eyeliner.

Here it is again as a group with Hydrangeas in different color tones. Just look at all the colors. This is right off the corner of the property by the curb.

Can you guys identify the yellow asiatic? I planted those and it came from the co-op too but I have no recollection ordering any yellow asiatics.

ROSES_R_RED &
Tex68,

Yours are so much nicer in the ground surrounded by beautiful companions! I'll have to buy a house with some land and plant them correctly! Most of the other types I purchased aren't doing as well as those I posted pics of. Some type of caterpillar much them rather quickly before they were identified and hopefully eradicated. Being my first try, I am pleased. It should only get better from here. Thanks for sharing your photos.

Long Branch, NJ(Zone 7a)

Thanks, Sunshine! Believe me, I don't have that much land. I just pack everything and make use of every square inch of garden space I can use.

Newfield, NY

do anybody like to trade lilly with me??
