Since our old snow thread has gotten filled up I thought it might be time for a new one. Poems are welcome! The picture was from today.
More Snow!
Ooooh purty.
I'm not rhyming today. I'm packing.
Snow on the branches
Beautiful it is today
Tomorrow brings leaves
Nice! (Both the picture and the haiku!).
No snow here. Wind,
Faces in clouds, and stray leaves spin down --
finally waving good-bye.
No snow here in Sarasota, FL. Just cloudy, somewhat windy and wants to threaten rain. Heading back to MT on Thursday. Probably have better weather there!
We have some old snow on the ground
Wherever shady spots are found.
Why won't the dirty snow just melt
When warmer weather oft' is felt?
It's February so we know
We soon will have more fresh white snow.
Since Spring is not quite near enough
I want at least some clean white fluff!
Nice, Lisabees!
Luvly lisabees!
the bulbous things they hope to know
and dormant rouse and swell but so
from times been burnt from early show
perchance to wait, not now to grow.
yes not today, cuz times are froze
and dahlianut still piles on snow
DN, you certainly have a way with words! Well done!
Ooooh, boy, you have poems here! I am awful at poetry, so I'll just read. I love the ones you have so far!
We're all amateurs here, Sofonisba. Go ahead and wax.
That is quite an icicle there mraider. Actually, the ones behind it that have curled under are interesting too.
dparsons says wax
my brain says
can't rhyme
go get my sax
Well, there you have it. Told you I'm awful at poetry!
^_^
I see that kind smile to cover up the smirk.
I know you're kind.
You ain't no jerk!
Bah-ha hahahaha!
I smile because I thought it was funny! Keep on playing along, I like anything that makes me smile!
Brenda
:-)
It's all just for our own amusement anyway - everybody should post some poetry!
Oh, I'm just crazy.
Sonofisba is crazy, bsavage, no jerk
While Kyla & Jude write haikus that just work
Dparsons says wax, and our Dahlia wisecracks
It's only the seriousness that we lack
We love to have fun here, in all kinds of text
It's tough to wait sometimes to see what comes next
I LOVE IT!!!
Winter is fighting to hold on
But last night's snow is now gone
The Spring warmup is starting
Winter is parting
And I soon will be gardening in my yard
...
...
Cept when the wind blows hard
Still smiling! Thanks for entertaining me, everyone!
You WANT snow? You can have ours, thankyouverymuch! I'd think you'd have enough of it in Colorado, though.
Well the big snowstorm here was a total bust yesterday. We had rain for about ten minutes in the morning and that was it. We're getting a little drizzle this afternoon. No much a winter storm though.
Jude, I hope you get more snow than we have.
Makes sense but you might not need as much as we've got. I'm not sure how we're going to get out!

I still have a little bit of old snow in my yard, I wish we'd get RAIN but it's not likely.
BTW G-G, all poetry is welcome!

We have lots of snow.
It snowed most of today in Glenwood Springs!
Sonny
We're supposed to be getting another storm today and tomorrow! Tony has been shoveling for days...
I JUST SAW THE FIRST ROBIN!!!
HOO HOO
Sonny
Poor Robin, is he crazy!?
We have robins here all winter, but they've been hopping around in the snow looking desperately for food these days!
Wet flakes from the sky
The streets are slippery now
more snow tomorrow
