Rock Swap #2
Aw, you such a good girl.
Because you did that I have another rock to show you.
We went for a walk in the woods in search of rocks for my friends and I saw this one.
I think it weighs more than 70lbs. ☺ But It is a nice rock. See my little creek?
That is Pepper creek. That is Missy crossing the stream.
SO pretty!
Thank you Jada for the new thread. : )
That brought me a sense of peace just looking at the picture. I'm sure I could hear the water fall. Sigh
Thanks for that RRM
Okay, everyone interested in participating (sometime after the first of the year) in a rock trade, speak up. We are making a new list of names. : )
Lynn
Well now, you all know I am in, if I can go wondering
in the woods looking for rocks for youall, you know
I'm in.
Wasn't that little waterfall beautiful, may have to try to do a video of it.
It was rainy, when I went down, but the wate was running and you could hear
the birds singing and even some crows , my dogs running thru the leaves.
It was a beautiful day.
Count me in for the rock swap.
RRM - check your digital camera. Some have a video with audio feature. I've used it several times and it's great. It's doubly great on a frosty winter day when you'd be able to hear the water and birds as well as watch the water running.
Thank you pirl, I do have a ittle cam corder, We don't get snow very much down here but wouldn't that be a beautiful picture??
I will try to get us another one.
Lovely waterfall! Thanks. On our rock hunt we'll be stopping at your house after the stop at Pixies' :-)
Come on down.
You will love it.
I always loved azaleas in the northeast but after seeing them in bloom in February, in Georgia, I was stunned at their beauty.
In my dry desert area there are no nice woods to walk thru. Have to drive several miles to find that kind of picturesque beauty. It snowed last night, a little more than 2", our first measurable snow. It is still dark so I haven't gone outside to shovel the paths and deck clear of the snow.
I picked up a rock near a lake some 25 miles away. It had rolled down the rock hillside and stopped at edge of the road. Had pretty lichens on it so I brought it home. Should have taken a picture of it but didn't and now it is covered with snow.
I must go sweep my floor and other things to get ready for my Tuesday bridge club ladies this afternoon. Donna
Is it fragrant RRM?
Okay, I'm making a new trade list. : ) We have more people wanting to join.
Don't forget to sign up. Here is the list so far. Please let me know if you want your name taken off the list. This is going to be such fun.

Please add my name to the list. thanks, julie
This is wonderful!!! We are going to
give the Post office people Hemmoroids......
isn't that wild?? ☺ I know I'm being bad but
it is funny....
LOL! Or they will grow some new muscles....
I didn't know how else to phase it and I wanted to be nice.
It is going to be wonderful. Even just to laugh at it , is good.
Oh, we are SO BAD! And we love it!
julie
That's what it is all about. Being good while being bad.
That takes practice....☺
See! That's what I mean!
I read an article about landscaping with rocks and from what they said:
if you can lift it, it's a rock
if you need a dolly or hand cart, it's a bigger rock
if you need a crane then you've really got a boulder.
Beautifully done job, Sharon.
great book on stone/rocks/boulders in the garden "stone in the garden" by gordon hayward. it would be a great xmass present to someone or yourself - i got mine for me:)
RRM That orange azalea is bootiful!! You must save me some seeds.
Well, last night I took my last exam of the last class of the last semester for my degree and if the paperwork goes ok that means I am officially graduated!!!!!
I feel so relieved to finally finish this (started in 1974 out of high school) that it is a boulder off my shoulder :-)
At my age it was so difficult and seemed to take forever but it is something I wanted to finish before I leave here, to tie up loose ends. I wish I could celebrate with my friends here.
Joyce
congrats joyce!
Thanks wha. Going to amazon to look up that book.
that is where i got it - it really is a fantastic book - although a lot of heavy equipment was used on the projects - next vehicle here is a front end loader:)
I don't believe I have ever seen seed, but maybe I can get you a start.
Oh, I love that skwinter. You know, we all want one too.? Have to look up that book.
Red Rock from Nev. how wonderful, Think my new Cactus garden is going to have some big rocks in it from our Rocks
we get from each other. Doesn't that sound wonderful?
skwinter, you are added.
What a wonderful picture of Nevada Red Rock, and the way you used it is wonderful.
Jada, that is a major case of fortitude. Congratulations!!!!!!! I send you a big hug for a job well done. : ) What is your degree in?
wha, I'm going to look that book up, really sounds interesting. I'm trying to picture a crane in my yard, and I don't mean the bird type. : )
RRM, I've been thinking on the same line as you. These are going to be such memory filled rocks/stones. Real treasures of new friendships made. : )
Thanks Lynn! BA in English. I'm thinking I might have time now to host this, if we decide to go that way....maybe....
Yes, memories of our friends across the states!
Maybe should be a Heart-shaped garden, huh???
Probably closer to me. come on down, we go rock hunting in the woods.
Went walking today and brought in an armful. Woooo, was I tired, had to rest twice.
Poor old plump me!!!!! Got some more pic. There WAS a tree standing here at one time and you can see part of it.
Look at what was laying all around it. Rocks, beautiful flat flocks. I already spotted the ones I want to bring to the house, so these have to wait. I never walked back there before, but I can tell you, I'm going back. It is so Beautiful and peaceful, just the soundof the dogs running through the leaves. I love it.
