Kelly
OK!
I'd like some of your seeds. Sending you a d-mail.
Hi Kay,
I would love to have some of your Confederate Rose seeds. Thank you for your generosity. D-mail on the way.
What color are they and do you know if they will do well in my zone? I am zone 6. Thankyou. My Mom had one when I was a kid and I loved it. We were in south La then.
Mine are the doubles, as you can see in the picture. Do a google.com search for the botanical name, to see if they will grow in your zone.
i would like some please. my mother in law now wants one so this will be great.
Imzadi, send me an sase and I will get them in the mail to you.
will do. and thanks
If you still have some seeds, I would love to try growing them.
What picture?
Oh, that is very pretty. My Mom's were darker than that. I always thought they looked like those crepe paper flowers. Are you in the addy exchange?
These change from white to dark pink as they age. Yes, I am in the address exchange.
A friend recently gave a cutting of hers to me. Her bush / tree, at least 12' tall and 8' wide, is perfectly placed in a corner next to her garage where it has plenty of room to grow. She cuts it back in the Fall and it comes back in the Spring. Several stalks shared white, pale pink, and dark pink blooms about the size of my hand. Just amazing. It may be hardy in other zones but typically 7-9 and is quite a striking plant!
You were so generous with our last trade, Kay. Much appreciated! If I didn't already have a cutting I'd be in. Somebody else ought to raise your hand for this gorgeous specimen.
Thanks. I'll try my best to get to the PO tomorrow. I have some seeds to mail. Thank you for this generous offer.
